EVERYTHING about flying has gone downhill. It used to be fun & we'd even dress up a little. First, they stopped letting anyone but passengers into the terminals so people couldn't wave goodbye any more through the windows as the plane backed away. Then they got rid of the nice hot meals & those hot scented towels they'd hand out with tongs. The pilots stopped telling us where we were & pointing out landmarks. Meanwhile, space between the rows of seats was shrinking, overbooking seemed to increase, & holding passengers prisoner out on the runways for long periods of time increased. They also cut back on replacing the cabin air during flights, to save money. Bringing luggage is now frowned upon. I will do anything to avoid flying these days. I wonder if the average person is also flying less. There's nothing special about it anymore, & lots more to hate about it. Only improvement I can think of is when they banned smoking.
