Racist commercial!
Popeyes chicken commercial is racial.
The commercial has a white man on a tour bus with a number of darker individuals and after learning of a deal comments "next stop, flavorville! " The whole bus looks at the man like he said something extremely rude and out of place. The man apologizes and the commercial ends.
I am so tired and upset of the media making caucasians out to be dorks! The media is also pushing interracial relationships. 90% of the examples are a white woman with a black man! I am not very racial, but disappointed with the way my race is being looked down upon so much lately

Picking out "mixed couples" seems to be your real message, the commercial is fine. Look in the mirror and quit worrying about who loves whom!

You're "not very racial" and yet you are "racial" enough to be sensitive to anything portraying the fact that white hegemony is no longer a valid assumption, or that interracial relationships are common and "being pushed"? All-righty then.

Look, us whites are not the majority anymore in large parts of the country, and very soon, in all of them. And we have a lot of leftover unconscious privilege assumptions / narratives; get used to them being called out. As well they should be.

Are you a supporter of your race or you? Skin color doesnt define a race. I think you need to rethink the way you approach this commercial. Also, in your eyes how are people supposed to view "your race". By T.V.? By history books? With statistics? As an American we have the freedom to be upset with the media but let me ask you this, "is there something else more important than your anger directed towards the media?

I don't get it. I really don't. "Flavorville" might be out of place but where is the racism? White people can be dorks. So can other races. In fact, the term "dork" is used mostly by white people.

Oh, the media is pushing interracial relationships. Oh, how offensive. How racist can you be? There was a time that I didn't like all the black people put in TV shows years ago, but in early 2005 I married a native Kenyan woman and we were married 12 years. You sound racist. There is no time that I feel people are "looking down" so much on my race. As a Caucasian male what I see mostly is Trumpsters and whiny people. "Hello, 911. These black people are out here bar-b-queing or they are swimming in my pool or selling lemonaide"

People need to grow up. The current embarrassing administration is no excuse for all this nonsense. Sorry.

Dude no. What you have described is not remotely racist. People being dorks is part of the human experience. No one is targeting white people to make them look bad in advertising or reinforcing harmful stereotypes against white people.

And the media is not “pushing” interracial relationships. You thinking 90% of anything shows interracial relationships only says that you are hyper-aware of those examples.

This happens on both sides of the coin. It needs to stop. You ever noticed how shows with white people will have one token black dude with the dumbest lines? Or black cast shows with a token white person with the dumbest lines. Instead of throwing in token people to meet some sort of rule, they should make them real people coexisting and working together for and end goal. Normalize coexistence instead of separating and making people feel bad for being alive.

I don't think the recent adds showing couples of white women and black men is derogatory. I believe it's necessary to normalize racial interaction and coexistence. I so look forward to the day we can put racial differences behind us.
