@thinktwice I bet it depends on hair color and strength. Blonde hair is the finest; I can’t imagine one of my hairs holding that much weight when I had any long enough to try. If someone with especially thick, healthy, dark hair tried it, maybe. The most common sized paper clip is about a gram too btw, probably easier to try with those than dollar bills.

@thinktwice Well I thought maybe it was a misprint and meant 3 grams. 3 grams was no problem. I'd be willing to suspect 1 strand would probably support 75 to 100 grams but 3,000 grams, don't believe its possible.

@RocknR I wonder if they meant tensile stress weight...not actual shear strength...I doubt a hair could hold 6 pounds either...
