Any othet atheist who love gospel music
Not gospel per se, but I love Gregorian monks chanting and the group Enigma has a great chanting mix as well.
Check out online Elvis done in Gregorian chants and/ or in Latin
I don't love it, i do, however, think there are some great individual pieces. I could probably find something good in all genres; that is simply my opinion as I enjoy multiple styles. I do have some syyles I prefer.
Swing Low Sweet Chariot is an excellent example of good music in general.
Not gospel as a genre, but Christian music of other genres (mostly rap and rock) almost always has a hopeful, comforting message. It's nice to hear, especially in times of personal discontent or sadness. Secular music doesn't do a good enough job with this.
So yes, absolutely I love that message in music, especially when accompanied by a good beat. It's even better when it's not ostensibly religious.
One of my favorites, as an example:
I am a big fan of Mahalia Jackson's music; also of a local group called Sacred Steel
I hate that stuff. It burns the ears.
