Messing around in church. Often we would stall and hope that going late would deter my father. No such luck. We would go and he would march the whole family (5 kids) right down the center aisle. It was so embarrassing we stopped that tactic. The 2nd biggest thing was harassing our sisters.Sometimes, for fun, they would say we did something when we hadn't.

After my older sister and I played around, I drew a picture of her “stuff” and gave it to a friend at school. He turned it into the teacher. She was Beulah displeased with me to say the least

I was a perfect child. Rarely got into trouble.

Crying.

I actually didn't get in a lot of trouble. But when I did it was a teacher giving me grief for not doing my homework.

I'm not done yet, getting in trouble ...

At age of 7 I decided my dads bright new Mercedes wasn't the right color .. I painted it red instead w oil color I found in the basement . At age 10 , I decided to feed a whole orange and lemon grove to some random goats while vacationing in an island ..over the two weeks we stayed there . The goats were well fed and my fathers wallet got very skinny when grove owner asked for damage bill . . At age 11 I broke the glass door doing my new karate move .. at age 12 I told the priest that he is an asshole pretty much and that I know he smokes cigsrerts and drinks wine . At age 13 I brought home a homeless person to be fed and bathe . At 18 I announced I am going to join the volunteer force and be in Africa for a year .
Nothing aged my dad , he was always understanding and never got punishment for my behaviors . Always teaching me a better way instead , never angry . But when I said I am going away , that near killed him 😟
At 20 I realized I won't save the world . At 23 i announce I was following an American boy to America . My father never forgived me for this I think 😟 although he gave me his best wishes and such , from all the things I did to this old man , that was the one that broke him ?
Years later he visited me and he was pleased w my life and safety / character / degrees, still , when I used to tease him " hey daddy , was I the best kid or what ?"?, my father used to point his white hair :" u see that ? All U !"

Really didn't get into much trouble. I had a geek friend who kept me engaged doing all kinds of "science" things then I went on my own and played with potentially life threatening experiments. . I did get really close to getting in "trouble" when a few of my experiments crossed the "safety" line. - - - I am lucky to have not lost fingers and retain eyes that were not greatly damaged by chemical burns and/or explosions. . .

I grew up in a tiny town and learn the art of the low profile. I didn't get caught. Not that I was a mean person. But the things kids ALWAYS got caught at? Not me. I am to this day, a very private person. I don't do anything any one would care about, but that has nothing to do with it. It just isn't your business. lol.

Saying things deemed 'inappropriate'.....which they usually were. Sigh. I had to kneel in front of the Virgin Mary statue and say prayers as penance. It always seemed so ridiculous to me but it was pretty easy punishment in the total scheme of things.

Most confessions are also too easy. Often no real sense of doing something bad is given.

Firecrackers, cherry bombs, ashcans. One day I made gunpowder and made 1/4 stick of dynamite. I blew a 2 foot hole in my back yard and 1/2 dozen neighbors came outside due the noise. I was 10

That I was alive.

Seems that I had a F****You attitude....which affected/protected many areas of my life......I still have the same attitude, much refined, which has prevented the World from making me a part of the pavement......

Talking back to adults. I still get in trouble for that now.

1

Not doing my homework, Anyone can make A's if they study, the trick is to not study and still make A's. and that is as much as I am willing to admit to in an open forum. I hid most of my shenanigans.

2

Not wearing my correct school uniform and using makeup lol

2

The list is so long and absurd I dare not write it down would just make me angry.

I feel your pain.

Reading after the lights were supposed to be off. Seriously, being an adult is awesome!

And they would punish you for that? Seem an unusual thing to be punished for to me.

@azzow2 Maybe it was using electricity, maybe it was not going to sleep and we'd be tired the next day. I'm not sure. But yes, I got in big trouble more than once for having a light on after my bedtime. I had my lightbulbs removed more than once, I'd go in the bathroom and read. Yes, my dad was an abusive asshole.

@HippieChick58 Was my stepfather for me.

@azzow2 I had a step mother after I was 15. I have horror stories about her too. We are survivors my friend, and I think we raised our kids far better than our parent raised us.

@HippieChick58 I would never treat my kids the way I had gotten it for sure.

@HippieChick58 what a jerk ! I am sorry honey ?
