Only good in a sandwich when you've got both of them.

After baking bread for over 35 years, I call it the "end piece."
It's crusty and delicious hot out of the oven with butter. My daughter and I used to fight for the end piece, right out of the oven.

I let them dry and then run them through my food processor for breadcrumbs.
