I'm in Napa, CA now & I think that I might stay for a few years. Got a nice nest on the River near town & going to go out to see if there is a job that fits my skill-set. Maybe I'll save the rest of the trip for another time as long as I can find something to keep me busy.

Here in Pasadena now, BIL taught at Culver (OMG! Children of the corn territory!), lived in Columbus and graduated from Kent State and lived in Orlando for 1 month! You are living at the wrong end of your trip!! Hurricanes, bugs, hateful politics!! All the best to you!!

How cool is this. My next stop is with son Ryan Leeman in Napa. He & Mea graduated from Culver & both of their children Koby & Amelia are there now. She is a Freshman & he is a Junior. I'll stop there on my way back through the middle of the US. I graduated from OSU in 68 & Cornell Nutritional Studies this year. WFPBL & CBD"S working the 2 together under "Big Pecker Health". That was a label for wine that I had in the Keys that was made by Ryan in Lodi, CA. He is now in the wine department at UC Davis. All the best to you......I need to go on social media more often!

@Walter1968 I had to look up WFPBL. Very cool. I actually got a certificate in nutrition 5 years ago. All us seniors are gonna be healthier than the MILLENIALS! Enjoy your trip and wave at Culver and Columbus for me. I actually love Columbus and miss it. I just wish it wasn't so damn snowy.

@Humanist5 When were you at Culver? Son's Damon & Ryan Leeman graduated as did Daughter-in-law Maria Carmen Tettenborn. Her parents owned "Old Town" restaurant down town. My younger brother works at OSU now & son Ryan works at UC Davis.

@Walter1968 Hmmmm. This is my second attempt at an answer. The other one disappeared. It waa my BIL who taught at Culver. I think he and my sister were there from around 1979 to mid 80's? And I have lived in Cbus 3 different times. 77-80. 84-85. and 2004-2013. I was also born in North East, PA---huge wine country!! I had vintner friends who took their skills from PA to Napa for careers.

@Walter1968 ps. O-H!!!!!

@Humanist5 I-O. Yes, I'm very much a Buckeye.

Looks like rain tonight in Albuquerque. First rain in 2 months & looks like I'll be weeding tomorrow. My brother has found a new ranch hand but I'm sure enjoying it. Glad for the rains, the 20% humidity & 92 temps at 5,000 ft. are hot. I live in Key West for 17 years & never felt sun like this.

Enjoying Albuquerque, NM now for a few days with my brother Hans. I'm not sure how long that I can live at 5,000 ft. after being at Sea Level for 18 years. Quit a difference. Friends in Arizona & then to Southern California for a week or year.

In Albuquerque now & my brother wants me to see everything. A few more days then off to LA with my nephew & friends after I visit friends in Arizona.

Did you really run?

No, I did not run away but found a place that I would never go back too. Near the Villages in Leesburg, FL. I'm going to take months or years for this trip. You never know what is ahead but I'm using it to see family & friends.
