I still like parties. But, I have to call them "get togethers" to get anyone to show up anymore.

i used to go to fabulous parties. i miss them. there were people i knew and more people i didn't know, in an intimate setting (an apartment). there would be music playing, but no room to dance unless you went into another room. there would be food, drink and grass. we'd discuss music, politics, literature, language, everything under the sun. we'd do group drawings on a huge piece of paper, with colored pens and pencils. those were great parties.

Small dinner parties are about all I could take now, if I went to any at all.

Yeah me too, I shy away from social gatherings more and more the older I get. I prefer select company or privacy.
