Has anyone every given financial support for something on kickstarter? I've always wanted to, but haven't. I think I have just found the thing for my new office!

Yes.

My experience was neutral.

It seemed like a cool product.

It took a good two years to get it produced.

I've never used it. LOL! (It's a cylindrical garlic shaker/peeler)

I think I have contributed to 3. One was a star trek museum in Nevada- not enough to get a physical perk but I love star trek

Another was a disabled young man that wanted to go on a trip around the U.S. I was supposed to get a copy of video or a letter or something when he completed it but to be honest I think he likely has died. Again, I did not do it for a perk anyway.

The most recent was for a reusable straw that is way over priced but is now in production. We shall see.

Yes but I typically do board game stuff and that has usually turned out excellent.

@orange_girl In fact I have done exactly two things that weren't board games. A web comic's graphic novel release, and a video game app version of a board game.

I voted yes and I had a good experience but I’ve actually done it a few times and had various experiences. Only once I did not actually get the item I was supposed to get.

One good experience was for Music for Cats. Go figure. ??????

I really loved kickstarter and had good experiences early on. Later, I donated twice to what ended up being false "causes" (terminal illness, and another raising $ for the marching band). In both cases, someone that I both knew and trusted took the money. I will no longer donate that way.
