I've already voted by mail in ballot. I voted for Democrats all the way. Tired of the republican gerrymanders down here in Texas. Hope we can break through and remove some of the most awful ones holding office down here.

Already voted! I don't always vote a straight party ticket -- I like to consider each candidate. But this time there was just no question. The differences are too large.

I've been a business owner for 40 years (manufacturing) and I've always voted a mix of Democrats and Republicans depending on who I feel would do the best job. Even though some of the current Republican policy's benefit me there's no way I can support any Republican now. Way more BS from Republicans and their used car salesman president than I can stomach........

i have already voted, and i voted democratic where a party was involved. it is important for me to stop what i consider a criminal organization from running the country... into the ground, and that means having the majority in congress and flipping states blue or keeping them blue. as for local seats, i vote by people... but all the people i like are democrats. this is one of the ways one begins to identify with a party: when you see that the people running from one party all believe in the same stuff you do, and the other people don't. it's not a matter of choosing the people because you follow the party line. it's a matter of choosing the party because of the people in it.

I'm concerned about state and national races, but the races that I have an actual shot at affecting, and the ones that are going to make the most difference to me, are the local races.
In these races, it does not matter what the party is. In fact, the more I find local politicians spout off about their party, the less competent they are. Vote for people, not party.

I'm a registered Republican, but will vote Democratic for checks and balances to try to break up the iron grip of the single party rule, particularly with the GOP becoming increasingly authoritarian and hostile to liberty and libertarian ideals.

                                        My hero
There you go , thinking and thank you.
Thank you. I'm a Democrat who also feels very strongly about checks and balances. There are good reasons those are necessary, and we're seeing that in real time.
I have voted many times, 67 years old. It was common for me to vote both parties on the same ballot. Back then things were somewhat civil with a few exceptions. And no one was running for office that were willing to sell the USA out. As the republican party evolved , the right wing hate took hold. The only value I hold for candidates is that they must be civil, well read, and willing to acknowledge true facts. With this said, I am completely democrat as the old republican party has left the nation.

I grew up in a time, not too long ago, where the discussions between the parties were civil, where we could respectfully disagree on ideas. I have no problem at all having a civil argument with someone who strongly disagrees with me and still respect them as a person. However, it seems the era of Newt Gingrich in the 90s, Republicans have just become horribly divisive and hateful. They have no ethical problem today promoting fake information and just outright lying. I know, I know, that Republicans today would probably accuse Dems of the same, and that is probably true on some level, but there is an objective truth here - Republicans have historically since the 90s been more and more extreme and hateful, much more so than the other side.
