If you do not have a generator wait it out. I had 10 acres out side of town and heated the place with propane, the hot water tank was also propane. BUT the well ran on electric. Never got around to getting a generator, we Always had power outages. Then a neighbor got elected county commissioner and a miracle, new lines were connected and we were routed on to a different grid, no more power outages when a minor wind storm came thru.
I digress, maybe the local firestation or city hall can let you recharge your phone and any extra batteries. Camping out at home is not as fun as when you go somewhere to camp out.

stay at a friends house, spend a lot of time at coffee houses, go to a motel, borrow a generator, smoke a lot of weed.. lol

I'd have to go to a hotel. The building I live in doesn't even have water without electricity!

I've been through that. The first thing I did was drink all the beer before it got warm. After that, I don't remember.

Don't have that problem as my current location is served by three power grids. It is one of the most reliable (redundant) portion of the power grid in the country.

However, last year when my Honda Accord water pump failed and I decided to fix it myself (and save 700 dollars) I wound up taking mass transit back from work for weeks waiting for parts and tools. While on the buss, ran across a guy who could not afford his electricity so he was living in the dark for weeks.

He charged his phone in the local laundry mat.

Get a car charger for your cell phone. Stay at a friend's house or a motel?
