Who is your "Go-To" atheist? I've been spending a lot of time traveling and listening to various YouTube speeches from Skepticon and so forth. I'm intrigued by Richard Carrier and Aron Ra. Anyone else I should listen to?

After the death of Chris Hitchens

Matt Dillahunty and Stephen Fry

Christopher Hitchens. He's genuinely angry. Then of course, Stephen Fry. Just because he's Stephen Fry.

I doubt that Chris is still angry..... 😉

Love Stephen Fry!

Matt Dillahunty, Christopher Hitchens, Seth Andrews, Tracey Harris among others.

If you can , try to listen to Mr.Babu gogineni (indian Athiest and Humanist) . He is an active and extrordinary person who is fighting against superstitions .

I am an amateur historian. Dr, Bart Ehrman is my first. Richard Price is also very interesting. Dr. Carrier is at the forefront of rethinking Christianity.

Aron Ra is the man!?

The 4 horsemen of new atheism:
Richard Dawkins
Christopher Hitchens
Sam Harris
Daniel Dennett

Hitchens.

Seth Andrews.

Sam Harris

Richard Dawkins, not just on line, but his books make really good reads too. Buy a load and give them to your theist friends for Christmas.

Christopher Hitchins is the one for me but with honourable mentions to a host of others: Harris, Krause, Dennett, Dawkins et al 🙂

Richard Dawkins

Jerry Coyne, Richard Dawkins are both wonderful scientists. And of course Lawerece Krause. There are many great youtubers out there as well. He hasn’t put out a video for a while but Don Exodus. Potholer54 is another.

I love Seth Andrews from the Thinking Atheist and also the Genetically modified sceptic on YouTube.

Noam Chomsky

Noam chomsky and Chris Hedges. These two geniuses don't speak about atheism. But they don't believe in god. Genuine athiests seldom debate the matter. It's kind of silly to hold forth on why santa clause doen't exist.

No one. I know what l believe and l know why. I don't need validation.

Love Seth Andrews, aka the "Thinking Atheist". Hitchens is my all time favorite. And I'm a huge fan of Neil deGrasse Tyson - I've even meet him twice ?

For me, I'd have to say Seth Andrews, Aron Ra, Matt Dillahunty, and Noah Ludgeons

Check out The Thinking Atheist website.

i don't have a go-to atheist as far as atheism itself goes. a lot of people i like happen to be atheists; others are not, but i forgive them for that. i don't even know the religious or nonreligious views of most of the folks i like. it is often by accident i find out who is an atheist and who isn't, since most of the stuff i am in the mood to read has nothing to do with atheism. i mean, there is only so much you can say. "there are no gods." "really?" "yeah." "okay!" i don't care why there are no gods, or even why some people think there are gods. i don't feel it necessary to prove there are no gods, or read other people's "proofs" (or lack thereof) that there are or aren't any gods. i think the idea that there are gods is sufficiently silly and unlikely that i don't worry about it. there just aren't any, that's all. sometimes i am called upon to defend my atheism. i'll do that from time to time. i don't need to read a book about it, though!

Anthony Magnabosco. Gotta say it, as I practice Street Epistemology.

I'm a big fan of Neil deGrasse Tyson. Although he doesn't label himself as an atheist per se, he expresses a science-based worldview with great enthusiasm and optimism that helped shape my views a lot after giving up religion.
