I’m in the hospital for the second time in one week. Someone just offered “thoughts and prayers” for the first time. My first thought was “Gee, that hasn’t stopped the killing (mass shootings).”

I said thank you. I’m officially cynical.

I hate that, I'm an RN. . . I hear it all day, everyday.
Most nurses even say God put them through Nursing school. . . Because it had nothing to do with the blood, sweat and tears. The conviction and long hours of studying that Dr's and Nurses go through is all god.
I don't wven pray with patients when asked. I just stand there.
In school they said you should always participate, but I feel it's a violation to be forced to participate in something simply because the other wants it.

i have asked people not to pray for me. i don't know why i care if they do (as long as they're not my doctor, or my pilot!) somehow, i do.

I’d say thanks but I prefer doctors and meds.
