What was you soul crushing teen moment?
(I just heard this topic on the radio. Thought it interesting)..
What was the worst thing that happened to you in junior high that you still sometimes think about.

Being rejected and teased by 'good christians' for not believing. Being called a devil worshiper and told I was going to hell. They didn't know I was already there (in their small town in Southeast Alabama). Also seeing religious requirements in Boy Scouts.

Overhearing some girls saying negative things about me and laughing.

I don't know if it was the worst moment. But it was soul crushing..
Dodge ball in gym class. I was not very coordinated, within three games I was consistently one of the last ones picked (seemed like the rest of my life lol)

P.E was usually soul crushing for me at any age. I hated 'dodge ball' and most anything else in P.E.. A good day was being picked next to last instead of last. 😟

I can totally relate. I'm not athletic at all...well, maybe a little in bed...lol.

I still remember the first time someone called me a faggot. I was in my freshman year of high school, and he said it with all the vitriol he could muster. I remember it as if it happened yesterday.

Probably the beating I took from my then step-father. It didnt' crush my soul though. It gave my back bone steel.

I can't remember one event, but all my close friends moved away over several years.

When I was between 5th and 6th grade my family moved from Ft. Worth to Southeast Alabama. I never felt like I belonged.
