What are your thoughts on the series Adam Ruins Everything? His videos certainly does challenge what some of us believe to be well-known history and "everyday facts". I know he does leave out certain details from time to time but it does start the conversation. His video on the true story of Pocahontas was a bit disturbing but after reading about the truth story behind Columbus Day, I m just not that surprised anymore.

I enjoy Adam's work a lot! Although I identify with several of the labels we can choose on this site, it's primarily my skepticism that has lead to my atheism and the other ways in which I identify myself philosophically. Adam appeals to this in an entertaining and engaging manner while modeling what critical thinking can look like.

I really like his show. Just watched the one where he delves into the origins of the holiday season. Helped me feel so much better about this time of year.

Really glad that you brought that up as I've just shared one of those video with a friend today. He is an atheist but was surprised to learn the real history of "Xmas".

@roland_n_frazz Yes, this one!

Its wonderful that it's mainstream enough that people who don't normally seek information have caught an episode or too.

Adam was the first (and so far only) person to model total security in one's weird, awkward, know-it-all-y nerdiness and I weirdly, awkwardly, nerdily love him for it.

I like his show always interesting and he is usually pretty accurate

I love the show. He reminds me of Alton Brown. So far everything I’ve watched I already knew, but I keep watching in hopes to learn something new.

Omg I didn’t put that together but, yeah totally

OMFG I knew he looked familiar! I didn't realize I was seeing an echo of Alton Brown! In appearance and bearing, no less! Good catch

He leaves out a lot of information if it doesn't back up his claim. But he can be pretty fun too.

I like it. Sort of a Pee Wee's Playhouse incarnation of Penn & Teller's 'Bullshit'. In fact, I watched an episode on Netflix tonight.

^^Best. Description. Ever.
