Gibson will not sell you a replacement pickguard for a vintage guitar unless you can prove you own the instrument. If the folks at Gibson look at this meme I suppose they will think it’s perfectly normal.

@maturin1919 they don’t want people using their parts on other guitars... as in creating counterfeit instruments.
