Funny, my car radio has more than one channel, and an "off" button too......

I'd write a politely scathing letter to the station's management. Would he have joked like that about Christians? Muslims? It's beyond offensive.

I stopped listening to radio years ago, mostly because I can't stand listening to the DJ.

I'd call him up and tell him he is way to gullible, then when he asks what I was talking about, ask him, "Where did Noah get the penguins, the kangaroos, the polar bears?, . . . . the real joke is you and your silly gulliblity!"

atheism not being a religion or an organized thingie, there are no unified significant dates within it, any more than there are unified significant dates for people who don't like celery, or people who can do long division. people who realize that there are no gods have not, as far as i know, coordinated to produce a calendar!

To my knowledge there's no particular significance. However it's the holidays, and many believers like to work the whole War on Christmas fantasy, which as everyone knows is an atheist conspiracy; and I expect that people are particularly receptive to anti-unbeliever memes during the holdiays because they fancy Christmas would become empty and sad and meaningless without their deity. It's an opportunity, then, to promote perceived advantages of god-beliefs.

I remember when Sinead O'Connor pulled that stunt on SNL. The next Monday the DJ's on a local rock station where mocking her. These were a couple of long time DJs (I forget who) who would work whatever music format they were hired for, and I thought, "Boy, they need rock'n'roll, rock'n'roll doesn't need them."

The boss of the DJ could be another believing moron. Perhaps the corporate owners are religious.

I think the DJ is probably just a moron. The problem is that you can't have dead air; so you have incredibly dumb people who speak incessantly just to avoid silence.

Sounds like the DJ has some issues. Unless the radio station markets itself as specifically Christian, management might want to be alerted as to the DJ's tendency toward exclusion. Intentionally offending a chunk of the customer base is bad for business.
