I swear as much as the next fucking asshole but I'm always impressed when someone comes up with more colorful language regardless of whether it includes any cuss words. Bloom County does it better than anyone!

Yep. If you have a problem with profanity, kindly take a flying fuck at a rolling donut. We're all adults here no need to police one another. Furthermore if you aren't fluent in vulgarity I automatically suspect of not being terribly bright.

Hey, I'm a New Yorker, I have no problem with curse words, I use them sometimes myself. If someone overuses them or uses them in a mean or derogatory way, to me that says way more about them than who or what they're talking about.

I thought we ignored those trying to add too many things to be treated as sacred. Human language is pretty damn diverse. Let people choose their own associations based on their comfort levels.

I totally agree with you KKGator. Words that now by some people are considered as swearing were once words that were part of normal everyday language. Who determines what is swearing or not. If you use whatever words to express a message it's more important that the message is understood. If people are offended visiting this site, then they should consider if this site is for them anyway. If it is incidental, just block the one that annoys you.

I don't feel critical of people who object to profanity. In most cases, that's the way they were brought up, and that's their right. However, that is just the way they feel; more and more people feel differently these days, and have little problems with profanity. I have no problem with it myself.

In any case, the block is there for anybody who doesn't want to see the "fucks" and "shits" and "cocks", etc. It's just a fact that times change, and profanity is no longer considered a big deal by many. Those who don't like it just have to deal.

I just read this again with all the wonderful vulgarity and I swear there is a place in the profiles to turn off swear words and get dot dot dot instead? Gonna go look..... It would be dull but probably a happier place for the less wordy? I would miss having a fuck to give though! ?

Personally, stupid fucking curse words don't offend me. They do however, give the impression that the author could not make a point without using them as a crutch.
