The first time I wrote, "ohferpetessake" on here (a pleasant change from my usual foul-mouth) some guy wrote back accusing me of "using Gawd's name on am Atheist site"!!!!!!

He said he would have much preferred to have Wooden use profanity than to hear that phrase over and over again.

I'm sure that there's been many times throughout human history that a rage fuleled torrent of profanity has spent the anger of people that might otherwise have taken to beating someone to death with a baseball bat.

Profanity is just one of God's many gifts to His most sinful creation.

I'm drawn to "drat" and "christ on a crutch". I had a t-shirt that said "fuck you you motherfucking fuck". Love that word!

I usually only swear for shock value,to garner attention.However,if angered,I have been known to swear profusely.

I got no fucking issue at all!

However... I like Booger Snot and Fartknocker. That, along with the term Bullfuckery that I picked up elsewhere, will be my 2019 go-to words!

This issue has made the gamut here several times and, early on, I even posted a question. It gets a lot of comments.
To me certain words are denigrating to the speaker. They take on a life of their own and spread like a virus. I try to be cognizant of what I say and make an effort to avoid such words. There are plenty of other expletive words and one can even use &%*#!& or words from other countries like Bloody hell. As I said before using words with sexual connotations out of place (there is a proper, fun place) even denigrates the titillating effect of those words.

I have yet to understand why some people go out of their way to be rude and ugly , especially when there's no reason for it . It's as if they think it makes they sound like an adult ? Or maybe it gives their words power ? Or most likely , a string of ugly covers up the fact that they are truly idiots . That's it , the last one . When they have nothing of value to say , but won't want to be left out of the conversation , they spew forth a string of meaningless ugly .
