What a fucking brilliant movie. This is my favourite scene, it also has a real life poignancy that few people know about.

Edward thing Robinson actually died shortly after this was made,

@oldFloyd Yes he did but the way I heard it was that Charlton Heston found out Edward G was dying of cancer shortly before filming this scene. That's like a massive 'wow' all round

@Countrywoman yeah my personal opinion I've not seen a remake of a Sci-Fi that was originally good made better but one can always hope.

A classic movie and one that should be taken as a warning. Politicians like Trump will take us to this dystopian future and feed us human corpses packaged as crackers.
