There have been several questions along these lines lately, so I want to ask a related, but slightly different question:
What “thing,” either concrete or abstract, do you hold to be of the highest value, above all else?

Love. Not just romantic love. ALL forms and expressions.

Without love, the world would be a hateful place.
... or should that be "without hate the world would be a lovely place" I have certainly found some lovely, and lovable, people here.

I have a bracelet that was given to me by my daughter for fathers day around 25 years ago. Its very sentimental and although its cheap it's the most valuable thing I own. I never take it off.

After a pivotal even 25 years ago my values changed. As I learn they keep changing. Right now it is to learn my negative effects on our life support system and to do what I can to lower it. It is to care and to be more proactive.

2

Being kind to myself. It's made all the difference in how I live my life and interact with others.
