I would go with first one. We try to help religious fools to see reality and accepted there is no god. So, the 2nd one isn't a good idea.

" Never argue with a fool, the audience may not be able to tell the difference."

Who can explain it
Who can tell you why
Fools give you reasons
Wise men never try

That's very good... Thank you 🙂

Could you give us some guidelines for how to identify nonsense?

Nope... Its different for everyone 😉

This was my NY resolution, and I am happy to say I've done fairly well sticking to it.

Feeling better? 😉

@Cutiebeauty Much!!! LOL I'll give a response, maybe even two out of respect and attempts to engage in intelligent dialogue. After two times and it's obvious it ain't gonna happen, I'm out! So much more time and much less frustration! lol

@jondspen post one of these as your last reply lol

@Cutiebeauty That's not a bad idea...lol

@jondspen that's what I've just recently started doing lol

I can't remember the identities of the two gentlemen in question - but there were two English gentlemen who had been 'aggressively opposed' for years.

They met, walking in opposite directions, on a narrow track in their local woods.

The first declared, "I shall not stand aside for a fool!"

To which the other quietly responded, "I, however, will," and stood aside.

Good one lol

Sorry to respond so late I was ignoring you.

And who are you again?

@Cutiebeauty I was the guy trying to follow your instructions "silence is the best reply...."

5

You can try all you want to make something fool proof, but then someone will just make a better fool🙂

silence is not always the best way to reply to a fool, particularly if you see other people listening and believing. sometimes it is necessary to speak up. the goal isn't to educate the fool. the goal is to warn the others.

@TheAstroChuck to me, same thing. just get the info out there. people will make of it what they will. i can't come over to anyone's house and smack 'em upside the head with a rolled-up newspaper to make 'em listen. but i can put it out there.

Depends on the foolishness..

Very true...but to have to negatively comment on something as inane as whether someone's abs turn you on or not is just foolishness at its best! lol

I also suggest skipping posts and scrolling...I have no idea why people feel the need to comment on EVERYTHING!
