This must have been when Cruz wasted hours of everyone’s life reading Green Eggs and Ham in the Senate. That’s his one and only accomplishment for Texas.

Oh he's been working hard to be an asshole. He and Cornyn both voted to let the sanctions against that Derapaska guy be lifted. Both fucking useless bastards!

I have friends that work for us (the government) and, especially due to reductions in workers they are very hard and dedicated workers. Oh, I think you are referring to Republicans and Libertarians!

Republicans and democrats same shit just being sold to different places.
But as far as the libertarians go ummm they could actually just be high. ?

@Antidronefreeman Now that you mention it I could see that. But how does he recon with the atheist, libertarian base?

maybe they will do less damage that way

You do know that those are not our congressmen...if you look at the lower right, the flag of Brazil is clearly seen...this is a very old meme and has been debunked already...get with the program...

@Antidronefreeman They are what? Tired from overnight commutes and being kept working after normal hours? Congress and many federal workers are on call all the time...it is not a 9-5 job...sometimes it pays just to stay and grab a little shut eye instead of going 2 hours to your hotel or home...have you been to your congressman/woman's office? Ours is constantly on the phone, sending memos, talking to constituents, meeting over dinner and drinks, etc. etc. Salaried business people know exactly what it is like...so yeah, a quickie nap is nothing...

@Antidronefreeman yes...I would say more like 24/7

@Antidronefreeman agree..there are some that should have left a long time ago because they are like stone pillars stuck in the dark ages...Mitch McConnell comes to mind...if he moves, it is his bowels...

@Antidronefreeman with the amount of money they make, I don't feel sorry for any of them.

@RobertMartin They make far less than if they were in the private sector, especially for that area of the country...I wouldn't take the pay cut to be a politician...and you missed my post that the picture is false...they are pictures of Brazilians...know your congressmen much?

@RobertMartin They call it public service because they make so little money in office when they could be attorneys working for some mega corporation or as a bank president etc.

@Countrywoman I don't believe that for one minute, they make way more money than the average person

@RobertMartin All you need is to google attorney salaries...attorneys in large cities make at least $200,000 and above...corporate attorneys make more...accountants make over $150,000...these are not average people....they are professionals and should be paid as such...you can't compare it to what an average person makes...what is that?

@thinktwice you're talking about attorneys and accountants, of course they make tons of money just like doctors. Not everyone can be a lawyer an accountant or a doctor. Besides, these politicians made the choice to so called serve the public. We all know that politicians are self servicing greedy leeches.

@RobertMartin Last time I checked, we the people made the choices by voting for them...by voting for them, we have hired them and agreed to a professional salary...most politicians have higher education and degrees so yeah, they are attorneys and accountants, bankers, etc....which makes it harder for "regular" people to get into politics...I am very happy with my representatives...I consider them to be hard working and no more greedy than any other capitalist.
