My on line , " dating , " experience : I was very surprised when three contacted me , at about the same time . One owned a construction company , one worked on a road construction crew , and the third owned an antique shop . The road crew guy , was sent to Malaysia , by his company to work on a road installation crew . He deposited the up front money , they gave him , in his bank account , but discovered when he got there , that they don't accept credit cards . Needed cash immediately . Construction Co. owner , won a contract to replace pipes and create a new system for an oil company in Malaysia . Needed me to open an account and deposit $10,000 of my money , in an off shore account being set up by a Chinese agent . The application forms he sent looked like a loan application form with my home as collateral . Antique owner , took his 9 year old son , to Malaysia . to buy items made of gold to resell in his antique shop . Was surprised to learn he needed to pay a large sum in order to leave the country , which he didn't have . Interesting stories . Several months later , read about these scammars in the AARP magazine . AARP , even included the same photos , one of these gusy had sent t o me.

I have all kinds of pretty young women who want to be my facebook friend and get to know me better. One just got back from a business meeting in Italy, and she wants to meet me very soon. She lives in North Carolina, and I live in Illinois. I still don't understand her obsession with a man 30 years older than she is who lives 1000 miles away.

@BD66 Distance is no obstacle when looking for love. Or a fat wallet.

How incredibly sad that human beings resort to this behavior rather than just getting a job and contributing to their own well being instead of trying to rip other people off.

The number of scammers one encounters today is amazingly bad. They try by e-mail, by facebook, by phone. Recently, one young man phoned, saying "Gramps, I need your help." I knew that that was not the voice of either of my two grandsons. I told him that he waws not my grandson. He pleaded with me. I said, "If you are am granDson, what is your name.?" He tried to continue, but I cut him off, Repeating, "If youare my grandson, what is your name?" After about 30 seconds of silence, he hung up.

You didn't send money did you? Its easy for me in a way, they can scam to their heart's content. I haven't two 'apennies' to rub together.

I have stated several time here:
Have one strict rule when you on the Internet. NEVER, under ANY circumstances, send money or gifts to ANYONE for ANY REASON.

I'm so sorry. Dating is hard enough without the money-scammers.
