I can tell there aren't a lot of people familiar with Laurel & Hardy here.

---and where are the Three Stooges?

most of them were wonderful. i was never much of an abbott and costello fan, and rowen and martin were the weakest part of laugh-in, but the rest were great. some who are missing: nichols and may, the three stooges (whom i did not like but others sure did), allen and rossi (again whom i personally did not like) and the keystone cops (more of a gang than a team). there were also martin and lewis (not my cuppa), monty python's flying circus (wonderful), stiller and meara (quite nice), cheech and chong (sometimes funny), congress of wonders (limited but hysterical), even the monkees (well, that's what they were hired to be, and they were as good as the material handed to them and sometimes better -- try to find nesmith portraying a bored princess) and firesign theatre (fabulous). amos and andy may have been, and certainly are now, offensive, but they were immensely popular; the original saturday night live cast couldn't be beat (do the blues brothers count as a separate team?). so for me, personally, it's minnie's boys, four or five crazy guys, original snl, all three at the top. smobro had a great show and they were funny but as a comedy team... well, they beat rowen and martin by a mile anyway!

I liked them all. Standouts to me would be the Marx Brothers and Abbott and Costello. (Lou's real last name was Cristello.)

Sorry, but when it comes to 99.99% of Yank Comedy I'd rather sit and watch paint dry.
But British and Aussie Comedy from the days way back, I love it, teams like, Steptoe and Son, Monty Pythons Flying Circus, Fry and Laurie, Dad's Army, It aint arf hot Mum, My name's Magooley, what's yours?

@Maindawg Then I assume you've watched episodes of Steptoe and Son then.

The Two Ronnies. I know they don't go back far, but it was simple humor.
