Primary school pulls Darwin show after Christian parents complain
Couldn't believe this was in the UK rather than the US Bible belt.

I looked through the script. Why would Christians object to Bishop Wilberforce being portrayed negatively. He was called Soapy Sam in his lifetime and described as oleaginous by they prime minister. I couldn't see anything in the eight lines the character has that would be worse than that.
I am going to guess that the same people would not approve of The Book of Mormons...when I attended this musical in Michigan, about a third of the audience got up and left...they were season ticket holders and demanded to be given tickets to another show...
Could they just have not attended the school event?
@creative51 I visit each year...my sister is in Kalamazoo...I go to the art thing in Grand Junction as well...Western Michigan has a fabulous schedule of arts, music and plays...my sister and I plan a few to attend each time I visit...lovely state...
@creative51 I will! I have been to PawPaw...Go Broncos! ha ha ha Next trip will be in nicer weather...your winters are too cold for me!
@creative51 lol she is in Miami for the winter...
@creative51 I could do it if I did not have to go out into it...stay home and read or write by the fire or a heater...there are some elements of stoicism that appeal to me...
@creative51 lol it is pretty cold in PA as well...I pretend to be in warmer climes by turning up the heat, turning on all the lights, and having a couple of drinks...it gets warm quickly...lol
@creative51 I know!
Is there no refuge from the psychosis of religion? I thought you Brits were smarter than us...
Wtf just down the road from me. Well they are up themselves them people from Chesire
Translation for none UK members. What Amisja means is that, unlike her county, people from Cheshire don't pick their noses and wipe it on their diner plates.
