I fucking love her! Just because something is legal doesn't make it moral.

I love her and I'm not even American.

The issue isn't do corporations and other legal bodies have rights under our legal system. The issue is people that oppose these laws aren't getting lobbyist to play the game within the rules set forth.

She makes a valid point of there being no oversight on a law that thusfully self enriches the law maker. Although I guess you could argue if proveable it could be illegal under insider trading laws and anti-trust laws. Nobody enforces it that way though.

It's legalized bribery, plain and simple. And until Buckley vs. Valeo is overturned (highly unlikely), big money will continue to own DC. You can't reform the system as long as the above precedent is in place, which equates money with free speech.

I particularly like her economic views, and her understanding of the historical government programs that helped build the middle class we once had

I guessed who it was before tapping on the link. She's a badass rockstar.

I'm going to commit hersey here, probably get kicked out of the "Conservative" group.... 😉
But, I like her. She's doing exactly what some of us hoped Trump would do, stir things up. Not follow the standard, old, policies and processes that seem to have ceased working. She's young ( what, maybe 24?), committed, passionate, and idealistic. What could be wrong with that? I may not agree with all her ideas, but I sure applaud her drive.

@bigpawbullets Exactly! I'm glad we can both agree here.

I hope she isn't shot.

shut yer mouth!

It's a legit concern. The powers that be always have that on the table as an option should someone become too much of a threat, as was MLK, among others. JFK, RFK, Wellstone..... At first I was concerned that some racist might kill Obama, but as soon as he was elected and started acting like Bush in blackface, I knew his ass was safe. Because in this country, people on the left always get assassinated with help.....

Yep.. campaign finance has been a hot topic for years, and with condemnation from both sides of the isle. But what she explained there (pretty well l might add) is just the tip of the iceberg. That whole system is much more complex than that, and requires a broader understanding of how it all works when trying to figure out how to fix it. Here is a great video explaining how the system is set up.
