We should all try to keep in mind that there are many Christians who are intelligent, decent, reasonable human beings. Just as in any group, there are very many individuals, each one of whom is unique. Although some Christians deserve heavy criticism or perhaps contempt or scorn, the same is true of some individuals in any group. Many Christians deserve a fair measure of respect, and don't deserve to be dumped upon.Try to avoid judging unfairly, or over-generalizing, or lumping good people in with the bad.

I think when atheists go overboard with being contemptuous or "mean", that it does make us look bad, and really works against us in trying to be better accepted or respected.

Working on that. Depends how hard the other person is lying. That really sets me off.
In an honest discussion I hope I come across as polite.

The virtual world can bring out the worst and best of people. Sorry, you have been on the bad end on humanity. I fear this will only get worse and make more work for admin.

I think it is easy for people to be mean on line. Usually they don't have a picture of themselves either, so it is easy for them to hide, as the cowards they are.

yeah, I agree, but i was uptown and i had to start listening to this woman telling me how I have "to get Jesus in my life"......yeah......right along with Popeye the Sailor, Superman....and Rin Tin TIn??? Oh how about Santa Claus? The imaginary friend who does everything for you. I just want to vent sometimes, i have to hear this crap from my 2 daughters......who's husbands are studying to be ministers. Also, they are right-wing republiCON, TRUMP HEADS too..... I don't get it....... and they're brainwashing my grand children with this bullshit......(NOTE: I didn't ram religion down my kids throats, I let them grow up and make their own decisions)

I finally met Raymond Moody too........which was very exciting for me. Sooooooooo I did have an "experience' when my mother passed on....but Jesus, and what I believed had nothing to do with it. Thanks for letting me vent.....

There is an aggressive tendency creeping in of late. As you won’t get any meaningful discussion from them best to just block them. I promise you won’t be missing anything!
