Living in SW Florida, I have been to several public functions that include some type of religious ceremony or prayer. I have found that when everyone has their head down in unison, it's a great time to look around and make eye contact with the people I'm going to converse with afterward at the social part of the event. #atheistlifehacks

Hahaha I love this! I do the same thing to see if anyone else in the room is like me.

Ha! Same here! If I happen to catch the eye of the officiant leading the prayer, I raise one eyebrow, like Spock ...

Yeah, I also look around for the others lol

That is what I do and have done for decades.

Used to be a reporter in SW Florida (Punta Gorda). Be careful with this tactic, some of the uber religious like to scan the crowd with one eye to make sure everyone's prayin'. Watch the facial expressions.

I see those people as future pointless debates.

Perfect timing for a nice sneer.

Funny and insightful! As someone who grew up in Florida's BRAINWASHING CULTS.....I know you can almost always find someone who's looking around the room, hoping to find YOUR EYES....expressing empathy and understanding, etc.
