When it gets warm enough to turn on your air conditioner, at what temperature do you set your thermostat?

80 is still about 30 degrees cooler than outside in the summer in AZ and it saves on electricity

I like 74 for sleeping and 78 when the house is empty.

A cold house discourages insects which is a plus in Florida

Do not have AC...your assumption is quite funny!

Not so silly when 87% of homes in the U.S. have it.

I love having windows open and ceiling fans running. AC doesn't come on unless it gets well into the 80's.

I love summer because I love A/C lol.

Coming into a cool house after spending time outside in the heat is one of the more pleasant experiences in the world.

Even then, I like my house cool. Alla time. I spend money to keep it around 67-68 in the summer and save it to keep it the same in winter. That and I run fans to keep the air circulating. My parents were like many of yall, my dad still keeps his thermostat on 75 in the summer. Miserable AF at their house.

Had a rental home with shitty AC that couldn't power my house below 80 during a Florida summer one year. Almost choked my slumlord landlady to death.

No a/c in my house, but my preference is always for the minimal amount of temp correction. In the winter, my thermostat is set between 65-68.
It makes me nuts that my office is 75 degrees in winter and 65 in the summer.

Air conditioner?

Under 80 degrees, I need to put on a fleece jacket.

I am not a fan of artificial cold air so I keep my therm higher and utilize fans.

Fortunately I am in a two level house in the midwest. I spend most of my time in the basement in the summer and it is usually cool. The real problem here is humidity, but I usually only need to run the air for about a half hour before it is tolerable again.

74 is my comfort temperature.
