Rejection is an excellent test for toxicity. If I say ‘no thank you’ and get a bad response...that person is more toxic than I want in my life. I don’t care WHY they are that way. Just back the fuck up.

This is a common reaction with certain types of people.
Just go to the profiles of those who are crude, rude, or lewd, and block them. You will no longer be able to see each others' posts, and they will also be removed from dating consideration.

The question isn't only about online. It's about how some people handle rejection in general

@Unity I suppose in real life, you just ignore them..cut them out of your life. Be polite, but distant.

Retaliation I expect. You’ve hurt their pride so they feel they must strike back in some way. Pretty immature, but an understandable reaction.

Because some see being rejected as a form of slander: you don't like me so I'll not like you, even if it takes effort to do so. Yup, were that petty of a species.
