Not maybe! It has been dying for over half a century or more. Trying to keep it alive is as useless as it would have been to try and keep steam locomotives running.

Exactly. Trump has the same philosophy as the Luddites - who were bent upon destroying weaving machines and preserving inefficient cottage industries. 20 years later, Britain in general was prospering more than ever, with higher employment, although, admittedly, the weavers weren't happy.
