Trump spends over a quarter of a million dollars advertising on Facebook the fear of an immigrant invasion. He is responsible for El Paso. Agree/Disagree?

He is a despicable human being, who has never done anything for anyone unless he could profit,or,enhance his image😲

I detest that orange turd and he certainly uses language intended to rile them up but I am firm believer in blaming actions on the people that commit them.

I never accepted the excuse of something being someone else's idea when my kids fucked up.

It's a dog whistle, to which not everybody was receptive (fortunately). The only reason he doesn't claim responsibility is because of the bad press it generated. If he issued another dog whistle which resulted in individuals or small groups of people planting trees or taking their neighbors fishing, he'd be boasting about how genius the tactic was. Yes, mental illness was a significant factor in the shootings, but largely the mental illness occupying the White House.

Hate, hate hate. tRump and tRumpthuglicans sow hate like farmers sow seed. Like farmers, they fertilize their seeds of hate. Is there any surprise that they grow a crop of hate?

Our excessive immigration is a major problem. Notice the lack of connections with immigration and Climate Change? However, idiots like tRump and his ilk only make matters worse. More and more this issue is framed as good or bad and basically an emotional. It should not be about people but a policy under which all must live and therefore is a policy that must be based on reason and evidence. Even the Sierra Club is starting to see the connection with population (and carbon footprint) growth and the environment.

Trump is partially responsible. The gun shooter is largely responsible. The guns, lawmakers, NRA and apathetic public.. are all responsible. We are not innocent here.

His hareful rhetoric has a clear and obvious connection given the parallels in his words and those of the shooter's. I also believe the case can be made that Trump bears some responsibility for global warming from all the methane he produces as a result of his junk food diet.

Not 100% responsible but definitely a HUGE contributing factor. I am on FB and haven't purchased an assault weapon, not have many others. I do wonder why young whites males are so vulnerable to this message and what makes them cross that line and act on it.

If 45 dialed back on the rhetoric it would lessen the frequency and/or severity of these incidents.

The fanatics and Nationalists have always been around. They kind of went underground after the Oklahoma City bombing and several of their leaders got taken out. But their presidential candidate won, which gave them a green light to come out of the dark and go public
