I have been called a dick, prick, bastard, son-of-a-bitch, asshole, and motherfucker, but never a nerd. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

All the time- I'm very proud of it! I've been called nerd for the weirdest things too, like keeping my phone on military time or knowing a little too much about DnD.

I have had it happen one time and also told that person that I prefer being called a geek.

I've never really been called a nerd to my face. I called myself a nerd once, and my dad seemed confused. In actuality, I'd say I'm more of a geek about certain topics. Nerd doesn't quite fit as well.

I've never been called a nerd. Other negative labels, yes. I am proud to be an intellectual and am proud when I am labelled that once in a great while. I wish America was a place where the term was not usually accompanied by a sneer.

when someone is actually making fun of you for being an intellectual, what they are really saying is, "Him make big funny words. Me no understand. Let's point and laugh!". There are plenty of places here where you can wear the Nerd badge proudly. You just need to step out of the room full of Neanderthals. You're the Democrat at a trump rally.

I call myself a nerd and am proud of it... more specifically a social science nerd 😀

Can't recall being called a nerd but wish I had been. Hippie seems to be a more common adjective for me and that makes sense to me. ✌
