Onward atheist soldiers.
Further battles with a fundamentalist christian pastor. Some of you may have read my previous post. [agnostic.com] However the plot thickens. As I caught him out in a bear faced lie and received no correction I posted this on his web site (Those already familiar with the item may choose to skip this) COUNTRY PARSON ADMITS FABRICATION IN THIS BLOG . Please read my comment for details.
"Dear readers, a few days ago I was shown this blog and I read it through. Most of the "evidence" that is presented here is hearsay. ie "I met a man who showed me a picture" and as such not verifiable. However there is one part that I managed to look up. That of the alleged giant thigh bone that is on display in a museum in Montana. Here is the actual information that I retrieved .“It is true that I sculpted a femur 47-1/2 (120 cm) based on a report in a newsletter where it was reported on by the construction engineer who found it and other skeletons the same height. I was commissioned to sculpt the femur so a college professor could show his students how large it was. I molded it and sent him a cast. I then cast one for my museum and mounted it over a drawing of a skeleton the same size. A femur of a an ancient human was used as the guide for the sculpture. In every instance, I have told others that it is JUST A SCULPTURE." As a result I private messaged Country Parson with my findings and although initially he denied that his blog was false, eventually he did concede that it was in part untrue. Here is what he said "Well, sir, you may be absolutely correct, but when I was there and saw it and handled it, I was not told at that time it was sculptured ---You have my genuine and sincere apology for not knowing, hence not relating that. I will print a correction if necessary, but will also print that it was, at the least, a representation of something that is authentic and legitimate ---Both Otis and Jack will corroborate that it at least represents an authentic giant human femur." As this was a few days ago I have taken the liberty of issuing this correction myself. I also went a little further and googled Jack Horner and Otis Cline and whist it is true that Mr Horner is a very well respected paleontologist (He is the real person a character in Jurassic world is based on). Mr Cline and his museum is not. Here is what Jack Horner is quoted in Wikipedia saying about it "It's not a science museum at all...it's not a pseudo-science museum…There's nothing scientific about it." Healy, Donna (October 18, 2009). "Dinosaur museum presents biblical view of origins". The Billings Gazette. Retrieved 28 May 2017. This not a court of law and you may feel totally free to accept hearsay evidence. We have all done so in the past but this would depend very much upon the character of the person imparting the information. eg. If a trusted friend were to tell you that they had seen your spouse kissing another person you may believe them. If however you later found out that the kiss was on the cheek and the other person was their sibling. Not only that but the trusted friend knew this but omitted that part in order to deceive you. I doubt very much that that friend would be trusted any more. Although I am not a person of faith myself I do have many friends who are and I respect their views. I have met quite a few good ministers who serve their community with charity and honor. I have also met some hypocrites that portend to be Christian whist bearing false witness. I leave it for you good readers to make up your own mind which one this man is. PS All of information I have placed at you disposal is (with the exception of country parsons msg to me) verifiable and available with a few clicks of a mouse and not hearsay."
Today I received other private msgs from him
I don't know why I am doing this, but I am sending you this response first, then you can check the Country Parson page as I intend to post the same thing there for the benefit of all others who may have noted the misinformation I inadvertently included in my last blog. I serious question if this will satisfy you, but it is totally true and attested to. I am certain beyond question that Otis Kline would be agreeable to speak with you if you would call the number and request to talk with him. But I also seriously doubt you would bother to do that. In the mean time, I do wish you nothing but well."

"Special announcement from the Country Parson!
I just recently learned that one of the items I mentioned in my most recent blog needs to be corrected. I am making a sincere apology to any and all who may have been unduly misinformed by this matter. When I posted about the human thigh bone, or femur, that was from a giant skeleton I was not aware that the bone I saw and handled and photographed was not the original bone, but was a handmade replica of the original. I have just recently learned that it was not as I portrayed it in the article. It had been artificially handmade intended to replicate the original, much like many museums do for dinosaur skeletons which are dug up but are not complete. In order to display that find, manmade bones are inserted into the skeleton to complete the display. This is done quite frequently. My most sincere apologies for inadvertently misleading you.
However, this does not, in any way, take away from the point of the article. If it was, as I have learned, a replica, that strongly infers that there was a genuine, authentic one that was being replicated. The actual authentic bone was, indeed, uncovered in a dig (and I will soon find out where it came from) that shows that there were, indeed, giants of that size – between 12’ 1nd 13’ in length – as the Bible has told us. These giant humans were not just in the middle east area, but according to some simple research were found in China and other parts of Asia.
I sincerely hope and pray that the matter as it has been brought to my attention doesn’t divert anyone’s attention form this main point. There is substantial evidence that giant humans existed in many places around the world, and even that some highly respected science sources have taken steps to cover up this information so as not to do damage to their narrative.

I looked and as yet not such special announcement has yet been posted. So here is what I sent him back.

"Firstly I must state that although I am not a person of faith, I do have many Christian friends and I respect their views no matter how much I think that it is false. They do not try and convert me or distort the truth. The post and msgs that you sent gave the distinct impression that Horner and Cline were of an accord. I can only surmise that this was done because there would be little chance of me verifying this. However, it only took a brief look a Wikipedia to debunk the notion. This akin to me asking a lady out and she saying "NO". Then when I press her further she says "When hell freezes over" and claim that she is warming to the idea. It is misinformation and a sin of omission. As for many believing the creationist myth. There many that think that pro-wrestling is real and a growing number that think the earth is flat. So one has to be skeptical about such things. I clicked on the link that you sent me and noticed one of their "Hot topics"
FLORIDA FISHERMAN LOST AT SEA FOR 14 DAYS CLAIMS HE WAS SEXUALLY ASSAULTED BY MERMAIDS. So I did some independent research. This is what I dug up.
[l.facebook.com]
So I continued
"If you will take some advice from a provincial carpenter. When you have dug yourself into a hole. Stop digging."
And I went further
"You may ask why I could be bothered to question this and other posts, I have also noticed quite a few exchanges on your site between skeptics and believers where the latter ask "Why do not leave us alone to believe what we will?" Here are my motives. As an atheist I do not seek/expect any rewards for my good actions. For me the reward for living a good life is simply living a good life.
So where does this fit in with the debate of Creationist vs Evolution?"The race may not go always to the swift or to the strong - Thats just where the smart money is" There are only a small proportion of Christian religions that now take the literal view of the old testament. Most follow a more traditional Judaic view that these a stories given to us by god for inspiration and guidance. (A point that you yourself seem to take in that you shave your face and appear to wear cloths of a different weave.) They leave science to the scientists and render unto Caesar. If god created man then it may well have been through evolution. They have no desire to create any more Galileo type martyrs.
Creationists like yourself often point to evolution being "just" a theory and as such is not proven. But all science is a theory, even that which is taken as law, Newtons gravity is a theory and as much as it is accepted, it too was subject to amendment by Einstein. A classic case is Ohms law. Which is still not actually a law but a theorem. As you can only prove it using instruments calibrated using Ohms law. However, in all the time that this has been in existence. Nothing in practice has proved it wrong and we take it as read and on face value. Evolution has been around almost as long and the only people that challenge it are people such as yourself and that is only because it challenges the bible. Which, in case you need to be reminded starts off with a talking snake.
Scientists are seekers of truth. The first thing they do when they or anyone else comes up with a theory is try and disprove it. Just as a chess grand-master would do before publication of a new opening. They look to all the possibilities that it could be refuted. To do otherwise would be like the bad policeman that sticks to his suspect and disregards any others. If your car does not start and you think that it is flat battery, yet the horn and radio seem healthy. Do you still cling to that idea? It would be a fool indeed that discounted the evidence or a qualified mechanics guidance and bought a new battery anyway, just because a book said to.
To my mind, nothing shows the power of natural selection more than mans fight against malaria. At every turn it thwarts us like quicksilver. We used quinine in tonic water but it became resistant. We bombed the swamps with DDT and the mosquitoes bred immune strains that became the norm. Yet still we battle against this most virulent infection. The only people that are not susceptible are those with cycle cell anemia. A genetic disease that unfortunately leads to debilitating conditions and early death. Yet they will survive and reproduce where others perish.
This brings me back to my point of doing good and living a good life. "Am I making this world a better or worse place?" It is a little known fact that the US military is responsible for 10% of the worlds research against malaria. You can believe whatever you like. Be that the earth is flat or the moon is made up of cheese. However, if a man puts up false evidence that the moon is cheese. "I have personally tasted moon rock and it was cheese, You can taste it yourself at the La La Were Not Listening Museum in Cheddar". Which is obliviously hogwash and more importantly verifiable hogwash. Yet people believe it anyway. That diminishes the collective intelligence of the world and we need smarter not dumber people. Furthermore, if all those dumb asses get together and push for schools to teach that the moon is made of cheese? That is destructive abuse. Do you think that a cure or vaccine for malaria is likely to be found by someone following your path or mine? Let`s put it another way. Who would you choose to re-wire your home. Someone proficient in Ohms law or someone that went to the will of Allah school of electrical engineers?
As a shepherd you have a duty to not only your flock but to the pasture too"

Isn't sad, to say the very least, how the Faithfools and their so-called 'Scholarly Experts' will grasp at ANY straw possible in attempts to prove that their 'Wholly Babble', aka bible, is the Truth?

What a post! Damn, you must have more time on your hands than I do, and I’m retired.

Maybe the femur is from a bear. You mentioned a bear faced lie.

It beats the hell out of playing video games or watching TV and if it causes one person to think? Then it is a lot more productive
