I posted this story earlier about the woman who fled home to the US after killing a young man by driving on the wrong side of the road in England..
I have just watched Trump's rambling comments on this and my already low opinion of the man has diminished even more
I have driven in the US and naturally I made sure I drove on the right side of the road although I was almost wiped out by an Asian guy, probably also a tourist, driving on the wrong side of the road in California. If I had accidentally driven on the wrong side of the road and killed someone I would most likely be languishing in a US prison now. The woman is a coward and should voluntarily return to England to face justice.
"When the US sends its people, they're not sending their best.
They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us, They're bringing bad drivers. They're bringing crime. They're murderers. And some, I assume, are good people."
Very good
@Moravian Alec, I'm a little ignorant about the beautiful animal in your picture. Could you tell us about it.
@PondartIncbendog Do you mean the one on the left?
That is Murdo the highland bull. He is a great attraction at a tourist stop on the edge of the village.
Now she has a triple shame, killing another, lying and fleeing and getting sympathy from the ilk of tRump. Good her name is out (mud). I would not want to be her.
Certainly she should have not left the country. If it was an accident she should have gone through the judicial process in Britain. We should send her back.
As a US citizen it would have been extremely unlikely that she would have been given a custodial sentence by the UK courts, allowances would have been made for the fact that we drive on different sides of the road. It shows cowardice and dishonour to leave without facing up to her responsibilities.
@Marionville it truly does. And this will follow her for the rest of her life. I do not drive when I am in Scotland. I find it very difficult to switch my mind set to driving in the other side of the road. It can be very dangerous.
Nothing will happen...she will escape justice. The thing is, she was interviewed by the police and gave her word that she wouldn’t leave the UK, the Northamptonshire police believed her. The woman is not only culpable of killing, which was probably accidental and one can have sympathy with, but she is a barefaced liar too, and completely without any honour. I think in cases like this diplomatic immunity should not be applicable, not least because she was only the spouse of the “diplomat “.
