I was reared a Roman Catholic so I can relate to the guilt instilled in us from childhood. It feels like this:

Never cared for The Smiths or Morrissey. Never got on board with most
of the bands of that era and genre. All were far too whiny and introspective
for me.

Everything I've ever heard about Morrissey, as a person, makes me care
even less for him.
If he says he's "forgiven" a fictional character, that proves to me that he's
