I always have plans within plans, problem being, finances, time and availability. Otherwise I'll just take what comes today. Also welcome to the site.😁

I am going to support the Democratic nominee, whoever it ism even if its Biden with a lot of money (for me) and time and effort. I've been an activist over the years, but an issues activist, not a political one. This year the political activist gloves come off. We CAN do so much better than this (RIP Elijah Cummings)!

Yes! My theory too. Anyone but Trump.

Yes, Yes, YES! We have to vote Trump and his enablers out. It's is essential that the rational people take back control of this country from the lunatic fringe evangelicals.

Electing Bernie so my country can get back on track!

I never wait for New Years. I am already active and accomplishing a lot of writing and meeting some outstanding people to make a better world. Education, kindness, and cooperation. Peace everyone!!

I'm looking forward to being healthy! In the last year I've had cancer with chemo and radiation, a lupus / sjogrens diagnosis, and lumbar back surgery. All 3 are now mostly under control and I'm ready to get back to my normal active life.

@msgail thank you!

I plan on doing more to bring climate change awareness to the public. I did a presentation for my Free Thinker group and they continue to bring up different parts that they are now researching on their own. Although we all know about it and are concerned about it, climate change may arguably be the greatest threat to humanity and we aren't doing enough about it!

Really important stuff
I post alot about it on fb postings. Science, past present and future.

How do you do? I am starting to get familiar over here. Nice place to chat a bit.

@HerbertNewsam We talk about CC a lot but we're not making the progress needed to arrest this problem. Welcome to the community by the way fellow Oregonian.

Well Ms.Gail, I hope to continue on being the person who I am, put whatever efforts I can into the things that I enjoy doing, trying my darnedest to get the world to wake up and see that we ARE One Race of Human Beings and NOT separate Races as we led to think and believe, try to get everyone to get a bit active and repair the damage we have done to the Environment, etc, and bring, where ever possible a little peace and happiness to others as well.

I have a lot going on. I will finish my employment this year sometime between March and June. I am building a new house in an active adult community and will sell the house I have lived in for 21 years.

Looking forward to revamping my whole life to be more physically active and to see and do more.

Big plans for 2020 but I tend to procrastinate, so big plans for 2020/21. I'll get back to this later.

What am I looking forward to in 2020? Fist of all, these are only numbers. What changed? Around my place some neighbor fired off a noise cannon just after midnight when 2020 was officially here. Why? The older I get the more I try to figure this all out. When I was younger I was a part of it. Today I wonder why.

For New Years resolutions I'm going to try and not eat as much and maybe conserve air by just breathing half as much. I have this theory that older people eat more because deep down inside of them they realize that time to eat is running out.

Continuing to enjoy retirement by traveling as much as i am able and maybe finding my new travel buddy.

Hey MsGail! I moved to Richmond, VA from Rockland in 2005! My hopes for 2020 are to get the arse out of the White House, finally launch my OLDEST out of my house, and maybe, just maybe take another dip into the dating pool. Divorced since 2014, took 3 years to date, met a guy, it lasted a couple of years then petered out....and I want to travel! So any advice on any of those things would be welcome.

I'm looking forward to moving on with my education and career and surrounding myself with good quality people that actually support that goal.

Reinventing my perspective on how to go about my day (work mostly)

Staying alive and keeping what sanity I have left

Projects I look forward to accomplishing?:

Use App Inventor to allow an Android tablet to control a future Arduino bluetooth based project to:

1) motorize the black velvet curtains on the sides of the Anamorphic screen (IF (big if (unlikely but possible)) I upgrade the projector to the JVC-DLA-Z1, for 16x9 aspect ratio, that projector spills light on the sides of the image so with a CHI setup, the black curtains are necessary and must be moved to reduce the screen to 1.85 etc. when watching non-anamorphic movies. My current Epson projector does not spill light but the screen-door effect and not optimal 1080P resolution on the 3050 makes some scenes less then good.

2) motorize the anamorphic lens assembly

(was planning on the Arduino project last year year but I ran across two large format horn drivers so I wound up improving center channel (building different speaker cabinet, then, with five active band-pass filters driving ten amplifiers for nine of the ten center-channel speakers), reconfigure the center channel system.

OR:

Start the upgrade: finish the math and modeling then order glass and abrasives to grind, polish, then have coated a better anamorphic lens assembly. (EXPENSIVE) will cost (in addition to hundreds of hours of work) many times more then my car. . . all with no guarantee of a good outcome.

OR:

If (Big if (very unlikely)) I upgrade to the DLA-Z1, open the ceiling and remap projector house enclosure fans to vent and attenuate sound from hot air exhaust to a different room or part of the same room.

2020 will be my make-or-break year for health and fitness.
