My daily mischief....LOL

There is a very religious person in my building; he leaves pamphlets /articles / church newspaper....in the laundry room or on the shelf by the mailboxes....and I take this propaganda and bring it to my place and placed it in the trash. While he thinks I enjoy reading this stuff...the truth is I try to minimize his religious prioritizing.

What do you do to fight religion?

You should learn origami and make tiny satans out of them and leave them where you found them

I don't fight against it. It's sometimes like standing in the ocean and trying to hold back the waves. Sometimes it's like having a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

No, is not like fighting Mother Nature... MN knows what "she" is doing....religious people are ignorant.

Generally speaking I've found that living in the UK there isn't very much of the 'In your face' Christianity. As for work they could all worship Odin for all I know, it doesn't get discussed. There is one lady who is a bit more religious, she likes to put Songs Of Praise on the TV on a Sunday in the lounge for the clients, she puts it on for herself but I couldn't care less really, so I just comment on how well the local hair salons did in the run up to being on telly, but that's about it.

Well, in USA is different.

@DUCHESSA So I've been finding out, I thought the only nut job was in the White House but it would appear not 😮

Ridicule it whole heartedly in the guise of humor

I used to work at a certain national cofvefe, er coffee chain years ago. People would leave those flyers around from time to time. If it happened on a slow day, we would take them & "fix" them, & then put them back in order to educate the masses

I go on there sites and question there morals. I point out the mistakes in the bible,I point out the racist warmongering peadophilia in the Koran. This time of the year is great,I get the xtians to explain how the resurrection prophecy is correct when Jesus supposedly rose from the dead on Sunday morning before 1st light and was laid in the cave on Friday evening, even allowing for part of a day making 1 whole day we still get only TWO nights! Friday day,Saturday day,Sunday day,Friday night,Saturday night? The prophecy from Jesus himself said he'd be in the tomb as Johna was in the belly of the whale, that was 3 days and 3 nights!!!!

No, I won't....he feels he can contaminate minds and I feel I can prevent him from doing so. This is going on for a while. LOL

I don't actually, it doesnt bother me to see stuff like that and I think ignoring it is my best way through, as long as I am not trapped in a train carriage with a bible thumper or stuck in a lift with a holy Joe, I'm not interested they may get on with their lives as best they can - I do think its a miserable life though having to rachet up all that belief every day.

You should put playboys and devil worships things about in their place.

I don't think so...lol

As long as I am not approached, I am cordial and respectful of another's belief.
If approached, I simply and politely identify as atheist/Gaian
If engaged, I will actively, and civilly debate.
If threatened (with Hell), I SHUT THEM DOWN!

I used to do that too, but now I respect other's agenda in the same manner that I want them to respect mine. I also have read up on most of the world's religions, so when presented with an opportunity to have a civil discussion, I can defend my belief systems.
Happy Thursday!!!!!

When I go to oour library I go through our used magazine shelf and pull religious or gun oriented mags and recycle them (I also find ones I want to read). Only once did I get a Seventh Day Adventist flyer at my door so I took it along with a FFRF newsletter and took them to the local gathering center. I told them since they sought to inform me I would return the favor. I make comments like when I was asked to help out on a project for Saturday I said I was busy but could come on 'Zombie Sunday'. Here it is hard because most people have little to do with religion.

By removing and recycling, aren't you then becoming a censor? Is it right to eliminate materials that you don't agree with, just like they do? Don't get me wrong, I giggle to think about it, but shouldn't we stop at that point?

@Meep70 I originally took a gun magazine to try and get into the mind of these people. Every page was so full of crap it was hard to understand that people actually believed this (there are 3 precious metals - Gold, Silver and Lead!). These magazines have been put there after they have been read by the subscriber. They are fair game. Same with the overt religious ones.

You may not have seen a previous posting about a magazine I found titled the "Trumpet". Some accused me of censoring but I don't care. It turned out this church group was sending copies to libraries all over the country. The libraries did not subscribe to it and it was a stealth attack. So I see my actions as a defensive battle.

@Meep70 Can you fight rabies with water? Well, we need to use their strategy to fight them.....besides, is fun to hear him saying "Somebody is enjoying the material I leave here."

I think your should start putting out Pagan articles and pamphlets. ?

Or better yet, science/(non religious)philosophy related stuff. Or satanic ?

@ClaytonE83 I was totally going to say satanic! LoL

But thought I would tone it down.

I do like the science idea though!

We should make up some “Truth about the Big Bang” pamphlets and make them look religious in nature. They might accidentally read them and learn something!

Every time I go to a hotel I hide the Bible. Baby steps, like posting things online where my religi-nosense friends and family members can see why I think their beliefs are illogical and often hypocritical.

Lmao!

I added a subtitle under "The Holy Bible" a couple times...

Something like:
"A DIY guide to becoming mentally disabled"
or
"WARNING may cause permanent brain damage"

I hide the "buybull" each / every time I am in a hotel.

Every time I see a Gideon's I think of the Cone Head movie LOL

Hmm..seems like you'd only encourage him to believe his work isn't in vain.

Whatever he thinks is irrelevant to me... My point is to remove his propaganda from public view as fast as possible.
