@St-Sinner Who knows? The south has a certain reverence for these men that is not unjustified. Yes they were wrong about slavery. They also were patriots. I agree with you. I live in Austin, TX and drive by Robert E Lee road every day on the commute. It feels like a different country out here. During Obama the resentment against Obama was really high. One county believed that Obama would bring in UN special forces to take over towns and the sheriff called for local militia to get ready. When in New York, I did not notice any racism, distancing from Jewish, Arabic people and immigrants etc. Do you know this year, Texas became the only state in the nation to refuse refugees from other countries?

Because Nancy Pelosi is just demonstrating the grudge, vengeance, animosity in her actions, on her face every day. That is going to hurt Democrats very badly in 2020. In addition to losing Presidency to Trump again in 2020, I believe we will lose more numbers in the Senate and the House.

My point here is there is a lot of other work democratic reforms that Democrats can do such as improve ethics laws by preventing family members from becoming paid or unpaid advisers in the White House with security clearances, introduce term limits for Congress members, show that you can also prevent Robert Lee Holiday in states (pass a non binding resolution if you have to), do not pass any budget requests from Trump just like they did to Obama.

But the constant efforts that are perceived as just vendetta and she looking like a bitch every day in Conservative media is going to unite the Trump base more than ever. She is proving to a big polarizer even for moderate Democrats in the land. I am beginning to not like her anymore. I am tired of seeing the plastic face, crow like walking old Nancy Pelosi for 30 years on the dias speaking the same and same way. I need to see a better leader who brings positivity, lifts our image as a uniter, smiles more... it is time to throw out Nancy Pelosi.

Look at the news out of Virginia. It makes all Democrats, progressives, moderates and independents happy. It is not a vendetta against anyone. It is just doing the right thing for today's time as a conscientious thing. How do you thing Nancy pelosi and Ralph Nader look every day? They just bring a huge negativity to the democratic face. We do not need it.

I think Pelosi has been a splendid leader. She has been measured, cautious, civil, and smart in both speech and action. She was right to tear up Trump's speech. Her action symbolically rejected the lies and corruption contained in the document and personified by Trump every day. Look, it is obvious that the radical right does not understand logic, reason, fact, or civil discourse. Maybe it's time they found out how we really feel. And you know what? If they can't take it, if they are going to whine like little bitches, well tough shit!

I will just remind you that Pelosi resisted impeachment until finally she had no other choice. She knew full well that it would be politically costly, be she did what the Republican Senators did not have the guts to do: put country above Party. Your bitching about Pelosi is a lot like blaming the victim. It's just the kind of shit the Republicans are hoping for out of Democrats: that we will form a circular firing squad. Why don't we instead focus our wrath on the correct target, the short-fingered vulgarian in the Oval Office and the gutless sycophants in the Senate? @seenoevil9620 Kinda depends on what you're looking for. Medford (southern OR) was listed in one of the retirement magazines as the third best place in the country to retire. Bend I believe was number two. I see you're a bicyclist, Portland has an annual nude bicycle tour through the city that seems to be pretty popular.

Oregon's voting system works well and I miss it. All these crazy stupid things happening in the country's voting systems and it could mostly be resolved by mail in voting.
