Does anyone really enjoy long walks on the beach?Here in New Jersey this involves dodging around huge beach setups by visitors, people rushing back and forth into the ocean, ear-splitting music, seagulls diving past to grab food, etc.

Yes, I used to love going to Atlantic City NJ, and walks on the beach. Walking on a beach at sunset is like no other experience in the world, if you've never done that you have to before you expire.

Depends on the beach

Guess you need to come to Oregon! There's a 4 or so mile long beach a block from my house with probably 30 people total the whole way at any given time. Well, maybe 80 in the summer... but... it's cold most of the time... but beautiful!
I visited my friend in CA once and we were sitting on the beach and he was getting sleepy so I told him I was going to a walk. When I finally got back he was getting worried! ? he said no one walks on the beach in CA. I was having fun exploring.

I loved walking on the beach in the Caribbean. I guess it just depends on when you go and what beach.

That would sure take the strolling 'fun' part out! A person would need to be looking for that type of adventure to enjoy it! When I was younger, I never seemed to notice that the beach was overcrowded, now it feels like I am in a zoo!

The only time I ever enjoyed walking on any beach in NJ was in the winter.
No people around. I'm so glad I don't live there anymore. I don't miss it at all.

My favorite vacation destination is an ocean beach. If I want the closet one that would be Tybee Island, GA. No problems like that there, but I rarely do a long walk.

I don't like sand. I live in CO, there aren't any beaches here.

No fresh water lakes?

@buzz13 Lakes are nice, it's been a few years since I've been to one.

@Sarahroo29 That's too bad I love to be around lakes, more than the Gulf.

@buzz13 I won't swim in one though. It's too cold for me. My titties freeze. Lol.

@Sarahroo29 TMI ......LOL

@buzz13 Lol. It's a joke.

Used to go to Jersey Shore at Manalapan. My best friends still live down there.

Yes, but I live in southern Thailand.

Here in Florida, it depends on where you go. I avoid Daytona, for example, because it's all driving on the beach and t-shirt shops. I go to the less used beaches, like Playalinda (on federal land at Canaveral Seashore) or Siesta Key in Sarasota. Long walks there, for sure!

I agree! You have to find the right beach.

Siesta Key is nice but can be a bit crowded especially in Bird Season ,but south from there where I live the beaches nice, just a smattering of people. Nokomis down to Englewood and we are the Shark Tooth Capital.

@buzz13 yep. Siesta,nokomis and venice beaches are pretty great. 🙂 I like going to Lido just because the burgers at the pavilion are amazing.

St. Pete beach can be great. I went there with a lady I was dating and we'd eat a great lunch at the Brass Monkey overlooking the beach. Btw there's a great Webcam for Siesta Beach. I would view it a work when I was in a beach mood.

@TheLiberalGent Yes, I've watched it a few times myself
