Then don't be a "part of" religion.

1

thats why they call it "the Cult of Sol Invictus"

"going up to heaven after you die" is nowhere in the Bible

...or you fear what will happen to you after death if you don't follow religious doctrine?

Religious doctrine encroaches your mental state (only if you allow it to) and aims to make you feel weak and dependent on false hope. IT'S A LOAD OF RUBBISH.

And nothing but!!!

Especially if death does not overtake trump, pence, and the rest of obstructionist republican fascists screwing this country over wholesale very soon!!!

LMFAO!! Check this out!!

You could look at tithing as a kind of tax, the way many Christians I know feel about income taxes, you'd think the promise of a mansion in cosmic disneyland after you're dead wouldn't get as much of a following as people resenting public education and health care because it's funded by taxes, nope they would rather live in the third world because they believe in this stupid imaginary world.
Apes are so irrational.

But real apes, such as a gorilla have a brain similar to a human and are intelligent creatures.

The Christians your talking about are just irrational. Bozos like this claim to hate “Socialism” but are the biggest users of socialist programs such as food stamps. But I suppose that’s much easier than going to Vocational School or College because they “Hate” public education.

Again this is a dying breed, they know it too. And they hate that fact.

Religion is a death cult.

Agreeing with you 110% on that.
Since, for example, Christianity revolves completely around the ideology of the Death and resurrection of its assumed founder.

@Triphid Now throw in the fact that the founder was not even Christian. I say this whether you believe it was Jesus or Paul/Saul. Neither of them were Christians.

I have come to think of the "cross" as a symbol of death. When a cross is placed at the site of fatal accident - death. When placed in a graveyard - death. The crucifix - death.

When you have to die to get to the good part of a religion...it's a bad religion!

@Ode_1 Fortunately, it is an imaginary religion and not to be taken seriously in any way ... by rational people.
