Is it really true that Texas could be voting to ban male masturbation?
Isn't that against several parts of Americas Constitiution?

Ah but think of all those trees not going into tissues

The (satirical) bill, as proposed, would impose a $100 fine per incident. This caused me to comment on another thread: "At those prices, it would be cheaper to hire a professional."

Under the Man’s Right to Know Act, Texan men would be fined $100 for every 'unregulated masturbatory emission' - although they may be reassured to learn this is a satirical bill highlighting how women have been targeted by anti-abortion laws.

Well it seems to be serving its purpose: highlighting the absurdity of legislating how people are allowed to treat their own bodies. The point (as already mentioned) is there's plenty of legislation around dictating women's rights to manage and manipulate their own reproductive system. When someone suggests doing it to men, the sky falls in.

Exactly

Unfortunately, the point is being missed.

While Farrar knows her "proposed satirical regulations" will not become law, she hoped the bill's filing would at least foster a deeper discussion about what should be a priority during session years.

“What I would like to see is this make people stop and think,” Farrar told The Texas Tribune.

“Maybe my colleagues aren’t capable of that, but the people who voted for them, or the people that didn’t vote at all, I hope that it changes their mind and helps them to decide what the priorities are.”

Google is only your friend when you actually check multiple sources and check the context of stuff. and READ what you find. Not just the headlines.

😉

The bill is in the process of committee hearings..it was submitted by a female legislator as a way of showing the Absurdities of Texan laws aimed restricting Womens access to healthcare and birth control.

Oh no, dick cameras are coming to Texas! Clearly sir, you shook it more than twice, that is a violation. Fine $250. 🙂

Dick cameras? Wonder how that would work and where these cameras would be installed. This was satire and for a moment I thought it was real, taking into account the power of the religious right in the US. I believe almost anything coming from the US. Pretty soon they could give fines to those who miss Sunday services at the local church. You register and get a card which you present at the church door. A bar code scanner registers you as having assisted to church, otherwise you pay $100 for each transgression. How about that?

@KashFigueroa Logical progression - Red light cameras to dick cameras, church implants - show them your money 🙂

I think and I'll have to do some googling, but I believe a female legislator introduced the bill to show how stupid it is for men to regulate the female reproductive system.

And it can't be about to happen. Lege doesn't meet until January.

There you go... I knew there was a back story.

Apparently Texas men's rights groups are planning a massive jerk-in at the State capitol. The NRA is supplying the lube and encouraging male Texans is show up with their gun in one hand and their rifle in the other..#MAGA -Make Americans Groan Again!

If they have a gun in one hand and a rifle in the other, how they gonna, erm ...

@El-loco He called us to attention as we stepped off the plane

Checked us off a list as he called out our names

Then he picked up his rifle and raised it in the air

Grabbed his crotch with his other hand as we all stood and stared

He said...

Chorus

This is my rifle

This is my gun

One is for killing

The others for fun

I would love if this was real

Will there be job opportunities for code enforcement officers?

good idea like another TSA

What your not going to be able to hold em in Texas?

I'm really aggravated that, even here, there are those who insist on jumping to the WRONG conclusions about this proposed law. For fuck's sake, people, stop! Read what it's REALLY about before commenting.

Ok,I've gone over the post, comments, links and I'm still confused. Can I still rub one out if I'm in Texas?

@Nemosson lol. Go right ahead. This is satire.

5

Chil outl. It's a bill introduced some time ago to apply the same level of fascist control over men's bodies as Texas applies to women's bodies. It has just resurfaced on FB.

3

The purpose of the bill is to show the abject hypocrisy of all those who support controlling women's reproductive rights, and access to legal healthcare. Unfortunately, there are entirely too many people who fail to understand this distinction.
This is an attempt to show the absurdity in Texas law.

3

Such a law would be unenforceable.. How woudl they police it?

I do think it is a violation of privacy, and the law would most likely be struck down for the saem reasons that laws bannign gay sex were stuck down as unconstitutional.

3

That is just whacky!

JK666 Level 7 Apr 10, 2018

So is trying to control women. That's the point.

Ha ha ha! Very punny.

2

And what about female masturbation? Couldn't you argue that the courts of Texasssssssss are being sexually biased in their motion? LOL!

Those are conservatives for you. Where will the cameras be installed. How much is the penalty if caught? And basically how can it be enforced.

2

The men in Texas probably can't masturbate anyway. This is why they need to be able to carry guns around in public.

2

It's a hoax? Damn - I thought it was a law to prevent me from shaking hands with Ted Cruz.

2

The "...persuit of happyness..." is in the Declaration of Independance, not the Constition. 🙂 🙂

2

hahahahahahahahahaha....whats next, sneezing!??

I should have said, "Get a Grip" and use the Snopes. [snopes.com]

I am just wondering how are they going to police that whether you are or you are not doing it

Rosh Level 7 Apr 11, 2018

Well I live in South Carolina where oral sex is illegal.

Not like that changes anything for anyone though.

How do they police that ?

@Rosh They don't.

How will anyone even know?
