You know you are getting old. When you lie in bed at night and your mind makes a list of ten or twelve important, and urgent things you must do tomorrow.

And in the morning, you can't remember any of them.

Is it bad that I was doing that back in my thirties?

Anyway, smart phone notes app.....for everything. It is far more reliable than my brain.

No, I think that it can happen at any age actually. It just seems more annoying now.

I can rarely remember anything that goes thru my mind at night,with the exception of the stuff i do not want to remember,go figure

2

Smart device reminder? I have not used it often but I can tell my Echo Dot to set a reminder for whatever I tell it and for any time/date.

great idea

When I get low on an item, I add it to a grocery list. Then it's off my mind.

But if I forget to bring the grocery list, I blank out at the grocery store.

Been there, done that. And you remember just as you pull back into your drive on the way home.

Welcome to the Senior world 🙂

I write my grocery list on my cell phone.

@QuidamOutrepont

That's a good idea. More often than not, I don't carry my cell phone.

Post-it notes. Write them down and put them on your forehead. Wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and scream.

Not as important as you thought .. Or maybe a dream 😂😱

Notepad and pen.

Nice idea but, then you have to sit up, switch the light on and write it down. There are too big problems with that, first you will have still forgoten half of them by the time you sit up, and second you would never get to sleep.

@Fernapple I’ve trained myself to use them when I’m over thinking, otherwise I stew and don’t sleep. Also I don’t like forgetting creative stuff I come up with when dropping off. But sounds like you may need another technique.

I thought that was just the scotch. 😆 I think I'll keep on thinking it's the scotch. I'm not getting old.
70's not old.

Nah! Hardly dry behind the ears, mate.

@Petter Thank you 🙂

You do that ,love that excuse

Reminds me of the hereafter. When getting old people actually experience the hereafter. When going some place to do or get something, they arrive and have to ask themselves, "what did I come hereafter?"

On that criterion, I reached old age when I turmed 20.
