Not these Repudlicans. It is up to liberal RepuBlicans to take back their party. Joe Scarbourgh was a Newtster. He paved the way for the Tee Party takeover. But at least he saw the light. Those that are "independent" can fix this. But I am wrong more often than I am right. History will decide who survives. A pro choice, pro environment, pro immigrant, proatheist pro cannabis, liberal republican, who call themselves "independant".

You have the answer to your own question. Republicans don't vote based on intelligence. The vote based on fear and hatred. They didn't even have a platform in 2020.

Everyone needs an opposition other wise complacentcy sets in. Human nature. Remember 2016. Milwaukee stayed home because Hilary was a shoe in. A 4 year nightmare followed. We need liberal Republicans to overpower the barbarians of the last 4 years. A one party system isn't good. Just read up on Mexico's PRI. Or Mayor Richard J. Daley of Chicago. One party is not a good thing. Remember Nelson Rockefeller, Charles Percy, Margret Chase Smith, Edward Brooke, Lowell Weicker, Charles Baker. Statesmen stateswomen who kept it in their pants & were reasonable. There must be balance. Or at least an attempt at balance.
