Share your top Secrets for success in life

Tall order, here goes mine.

1.Don't try my life at home, only take some good bits. Have odd self doubts, yet not to over analyses or worry. Have a leap over the fire skills, why burn going through it?
First- Love what I do, second attitude, third focus and last talent. Without first 3 work ethics, talent is wasted.

  1. Be what I think with compassion . Own strong opinions, yet not arrogant. Self serve based on good sense, not selfish. Idealistic more importantly realistic. Know what I want in ideals/values about life, some empathy for others.

  2. Think Outside the Box, For every thing we have achieved in life was all once imagined. Just accept life as “the way it is and be not so serious. I am very curious, constantly asking the 99% unknowns. Not afraid to go against the grain. Don'ts tell me I can't do it, or I will be more determined than ever and DO IT!!!

  3. Only belong to the Optimistic club, too negative people are not allowed. Delicate to the creative process to develop focusing on what is possible. I look for the good in situations.

  4. Fearless strengths to lead with the heart and shortly followed by mind. Resilient/Not Afraid of Failure is one step closer to the puzzle.

6 Have a“Can Do” Attitude
Enthusiastic ready for a challenge, finding solutions. A builder/artist in life. Not too obsessed, and can be fixer or can do.

  1. Responsibility For choices and consequences. People repeat the same thing over and over again hoping for better result is a form of insanity and blame game. I achieve despite what happened and do what ever it takes to get done. enough attention to outlines and details.

  2. Have a lover as you want . Judge little, no victim games. Give boundaries. Ultimate love is when two people or thing are stronger together than apart.

  1. Self Awareness – Know my
    Strengths/Weaknesses
Healthy respect for self and I know what I'm good at and know what I'm aren’t that good at. No issues admitting weaknesses of fault making it very difficult to insult. Stay within my means and whatever works and a realist straight to the heart arrow.

.True freedom is awesome. All I have in life is how I give it all away. Bigger picture, the world is my family people are generally good, they do give back. Question everything, negative beliefs won't apply anymore in many respects. We have more choices in life then we realized and found my balanced view of the world. Not angry, jealous or envy type. Nobody owns me, got to be me. Can't live a lie with no regrets and living in the Now. Not afraid of powers to be or they don't really upset me, like many may think.Let A-HOLEs Be A-holes. If I'm not strong enough, I'll get the holistic help, not the quack that needs to his mortgage so I am nuts case.

Always can use more friends, share.

If I shared it, it would not be a secret any longer.

Then your a member of the secret society who won't share their reality.

I know of thousands of people who have greater ideas and ways of thinking better than my own.
Or trust our owners to dictate everything.

Am still fond of desiderata, the only part I would rephrase is,

‘be at peace, whatever you conceive it to be’

rather than be at peace with God, as I don’t have one.

3

Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Follow your passion if you have one. If you don't have one, then choose the lifestyle you want and do what is necessary to achieve that choice.

I keep telling my friend how I'm doing something because I am excited about it. Maybe I just now discovered it but it has always been around. I discover something new every day. He thinks I'm asking him for advice.

Also, I live simply and spend little money doing it. This works for me. My friend has more property with a nice house while I live in a mobile home. He also carries more money, but I have more money. He and his wife would drive a new car but mine is a 2004. If I'm lucky I'll get another 100,000 miles out of it.

No secret here, strive to be a non-achiever and success is assured.

  1. Keep learning and integrating that knowledge, converting it to action.

  2. Strive for excellence in what you choose to do.

  3. Build a strong network of friends who will challenge you and who will feed new ideas into your vision.

  4. Treat others with dignity and respect, but stand up for your principles and your ideas.

  5. Do not be afraid to stand up to authority when it is necessary but do so only when you need to do so as a calculated risk. If you choose to stand up to authority, plan out your moves carefully and thoroughly, backed by facts. Elicit support in your effort.

Niccce...

If you do NOT mind me adding a bit extra to those I agree with your stating 100%.
There is ONE other which I'd also stress as being important and that is,
6) "In this life of yours, be True to yourself, let no others attempt to change who you truly are, hold dear to yourself your dreams, aspirations, etc, etc, for in this ever changing Universe they ARE yours and yours alone, cherish them, nurture them and let them grow as they should." -William Anthony, 2017.

@Triphid Thanks.

@Triphid

Like number 6, although do you have any from your authentic self of successes?

@Castlepaloma Well, I AM still alive and kicking, Still free to speak my mind and still do, etc, etc.
And FYI, 'William Anthony' is my Nom-de-Plum (aka Penname) which I use in conjunction with my Artworks ( Paintings and Sculptures, etc,), Poetry and Prose-works as well.
Unlike most Artists these days, imo, I do my Artworks for both my own pleasure and enjoyments as well as for the same for those to whom I gave them rather than SELL them.
As far as I'm aware, ONLY ONE of my art-works has ever been sold and that is the entitled "'Roos in the Sunset," a pastel chalks works done in 1987, donated to the Pre-School my daughter was attending as a Prize in a Fund-raising Raffle, exchanged by a woman in her 60's because she had won the First Prize, a painting by Pro Hart and wanted my work instead.
She passed away in 1997, her daughter sold it to an Art Gallery in Adelaide, Sth. Australia to help pay the Funeral costs, it was then, so I have been informed, sold to a Buyer from Ontario, Canada for a nice little price of $1,250 AU, and now hangs in his Gallery and has been valued at $ 25,000 Canadian.
I also have a book of Poetry published called simply, " The Blue-bush Bard," and below is a photo of a mural that I have hand-painted ( brush only btw) on a fence in my front yard where everyone can see.
It has been painted on a Corrugated Sheeting Iron fence and the last 'offer' I received for it was from a Tourist who was offering me $500 AU and ALL replacement costs as well.
He got very upset and quite angry when I told him it was NOT for sale at ANY Price.
Oh, and housed in the Australian National Museum, last time I heard, are my series of fired clay sculptures entitled " the Evolution of the Human Face and Head," done circa 1968-1969.
May one enquire as to your AUTHENTIC success perhaps?

@wordywalt No thanks needed but they are appreciated none-the -less.
