For those not following the war crimes committed by Israel within the past few days /week, with the full support and backing of most American politicians (specifying Joe Biden,) this video details the carnage. It's is not only shocking, but sad and infuriating. 🤬🤬🤬

192 killed in Gaza. 58 children & 34 women. They've killed civilians, surgeons, the lead COVID-19 expert(s), hospitals, residential areas and as shown in the video, the media buildings that have been home to The Associated Press and Al Jezzara for over 15 years. Doctors Without Borders and the roads to hospitals are also completely destroyed.

Israel's death toll? 10. (The Iron Dome has successfully stopped 90% of bombs from Gaza. Isreal is bombing with impunity /needlessly.) 🙄

Biden just approved $735 million more in weapons to Isreal and has blocked 3 attempts by the UN for a cease fire. 20 Senators are calling for a cease fire, Biden refuses to even suggest a cease fire.

In short, America is complicent in the ethnic cleansing /apartheid happening in real time. 😞😠

It is shocking and disgraceful, and it is only the latest outrage in a litany of outrages that Israel has been allowed to perpetrate on the Palestinian people since the Israeli State was founded. The west, especially the USA and the U.K. are complicit in this 70 year subjugation of, and what actually amounts to slowly ethnic cleansing the Palestinian people out of existence in the region. They have more right to be in this land than 90% of the Jews living there...especially the late arrival American Brooklyn settlers of the West Bank, why does the world think they have more right to live in Palestine than the Palestinians themselves? The United Nations have been found yet again to be completely powerless and ineffective despite innumerable UN resolutions against Israel, more than any other nation, their resolutions to withdraw and to stop building new settlements on Palestinian land are completely ignored. The Israelis keep building in defiance of the UN and in contravention of international law. I’m afraid the apologists for Israel never seem to take this into account when being ever ready to brand any Palestinian retaliation as aggression and terrorism. Is it not an act of aggression to grab someone else’s land, and an act of terrorism to threaten to shoot them if they object to you taking it?

It shocks me to read below of a few here on Agnostics who take the view that the Palestinian people, because they believe them to be Muslin and to speak Arabic, are fair game to be treated this way and must all be branded terrorists. In any case the Palestinians comprise Christians as well as Muslims, Jerusalem is a holy city to all three Judaic religions, and there is a sizeable Christian population, amongst Palestinians and Palestinian Israelis, it’s completely uninformed to assume that they’re all Muslims because they have Arab ethnicity. The Muslims who flew the planes into the Twin Towers were Saudis...and yet Saudi Arabia is still America’s ally and their citizens never described by Americans as terrorists..why is that? Sounds pretty much like double standards working here, because The Saudis are rich and buy our arms, and the Palestinians are poor and have no leverage or status, in fact we sell the arms to Israel which they then direct on the Palestinians, not condemning that, but instead condemning the victims for provoking the attacks, which are understandable if you are fighting for your very survival. The rockets don’t do much damage because the Israelis have their mighty Dome defence system, it’s like firing a peashooter at a tank. The Palestinians have a just cause, they are the true victims in this struggle, and no matter how you dress things up, Israel is the real aggressor.

The festering sore that is this part of the world will never be healed until justice is served for everyone. The Palestinians will never get justice unless they are allowed to run their own country without interference from Israel, and the ability of Israel to control and dictate everything that goes in and out of it. The two country solution is the only option that can ever work but looks further away than ever. Netanyahu’s tenure has been bad news for the prospect of peace, and four years of the Trump administration compounded that, by his moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, trust that Orange blot on humanity to make a bad situation worse all round.

Thank you.
This seems a repeat of again taking the wrong side as the 'western countries' have done many times in the past. Even during our civil war many merchants in the UK took the southern side because they needed cotton produced in the south. It seems we have become so intertwined in commercial needs we tend to look the other way when a decision about right and wrong jeopardizes that need. Commercial interests will always try to shape how we should approach a subject (like immigration) and they have the money to do so. Unfortunately, the state of Israel will not be resolved in any way until they understand the impact of constant growth. It is still a small, arid country and has long since passed it's carrying capacity. Even the Dead Sea is in danger of disappearing because of it's use. In 2005 the "Smithsonian" had an article of how the lost of this sea could spell a catastrophe. In the end everyone, Jews and Palestinians will crash.

Israel seems intent on making the holy land a lot holier.

@SeaGreenEyez What's weird is Israel is supposed to be a secular government just like the United States, and I fear that may be true that Israel is as secular as the under secular United States.

1

I don't give a flying fuck for the lives of any of these religious fanatics on both sides, they can exterminate each other for all I care!

America trained and armed them well. :/

Israel-Gaza violence: Calls to protect civilians as conflict endures

I too I'm disgusted that the US helps finance Israel's war on every f** thing, but in my opinion it's just about time that Yahweh show up and throw some hellfire and brimstone at them and Sodom and Gomoralize them. This country has its own f** problems. gezzuz 🤬

Joe is trying but the Israeli lobby is very very powerful , too powerful and many in Congress bend to their will

The parties of god have a veto on these lands. How can there be peace between the violent children of Abraham?

There can't even be peace in my own damned family.

Not “full” support. Many of us have been against Israeli attacks on Palestinians for decades. And the reverse.

There was a long story in the NY Times concerning this and it was not flattering for Israel. On April 13th "a squad of Israeli police officers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, brushed the Palestinian attendants aside and strode across its vast courtyard. They then cut cables to the loudspeakers that broadcast prayers to the faithful from four medieval minarets. It was the night of April 13th, the first day of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. It was also Memorial Day in Israel which honors those that died fighting for the country. The Israeli president was delivering a speech at the Western Wall, a sacred Jewish site that lies below the Mosque, and Israeli officials were concerned the prayers would drown it out."

Again, warring religions but, I for one, have been long since sick and tired of Jewish wound licking over the holocaust, which seems to be replayed over and over, for 70+ years by the Jewish state. It seems to simply be an excuse for the state to trample on the rights of others. Others in which land was given (taken) by settlers. Seem akin to so many episodes (including our own) of newcomers invading a land and nullifying the rights and lives of the indigenous peoples.

I refuse to go to any holocaust museum or listening to any story of how badly the Jewish were treated simply because they have not learned a prime lesson to not treat others as badly as you have been treated.

BTW, there is a difference between anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist. The Israeli state has become another S. African nation under apartheid (this was mention in the report).

@SeaGreenEyez All this is absolutely despicable. Problem seems we call ourselves a Judaeo-christian people, when it serves us to vilify Moslem's. We let Israel get away with a form of slow genocide because we feel guilt because we turned Jews away during the war. tRump made things only worse and Biden needs to call a spade a spade.

Still, the way the population has exploded there's not much hope for peace. We should just hope it doesn't spill over into the rest of the world.

@SeaGreenEyez We have been and it will come back to bite us.

Both sides are to blame. Hamas has fired over 3200 rockets.

Easy to put blame when one doesn't know the whole story. The treatment of the Palestinians has been going on for so long it has put them in a tight corner with no where to turn.

I agree. My new mantra is that they deserve each other. But I have to laugh at those that denounce Israel but by extension, support Hamas. Yeah, Israel pounds Gaza, but they're the ones that escalated with the rockets. Then there the guy who screams ethnic cleansing, imagining that is some kind of magic charm of persuasion. Then there are the social justice warriors, the self-hating Jews, Arabs, and even a few closet Nazis. Paying attention rewards both Hamas and Netanyahu. Both sides are severely degenerate and violate norms, international and otherwise. Anyone that takes a side has apologies to make and if they don't... Hell, nobody has standing to say shit.

@JackPedigo Your reply indicates you approve of rockets in response to unlawful evictions.

@Alienbeing I do not approve of violence but I do accept it when there seems no alternative. What should people do, just cower in a corner and let a more powerful crush you under their heels? Thing is this is how so many Jews lost their lives in the camps. Many went peacefully and did not fight back. Now that they have had a lesson in abuse they have become the oppressors.

@JackPedigo There are many alternatives between no action and rockets.

@Alienbeing Tell that to the people being oppressed, not me. It's easy to do from afar from the comforts on one's home!

@JackPedigo Your comment is hollow. Before you can cry about the "people oppressed", from your comfortable arm chair, you must prove there are a group of oppressed people. You can't, so save yourself embarrassment and fade away.

@Alienbeing Very easy to follow the 'prevailing norm' and not stick ones neck out. The information is there and has been for decades and all it takes is a little critical thinking. I have traveled the world over and lived in Europe. I have been involved with a number of environmental, political groups for years. I have friends who consider themselves cultural Jews and are appalled what is happening in Israel by the Jewish community. My armchair has not been so comfortable as some may think. For one thing I am a disabled Vietnam era veteran. One really needs to take a look at both sides and if one does so with an open mind the answer should be clear. If not, it's not my problem. I, and many others here, have seen the evidence and have taken a side. For me this case is closed so don't bother with a reply.

@JackPedigo I am well read, and do not say something because of any "prevailing norm". You love catch phrases don't you? The current hostilities started when Hamas took exception to the fact that Jewish landlords were evicting Palestinian famlies from houses they lived in for years. That is a fact! One can point out that the evictions were not correct, but my point all along is one does not respond to evictions with rockets aimed at heavily populated areas.

Sorry to hear you are disabled. I am a Viet Nam vet also.

I responded because merely because you have blinders on does not mean you made a point.

@Alienbeing In this space it is bad (and to me irresponsible) form to point fingers at another airing their views. One reason I use generalities instead of specifics when answering another. Again, all the trivializing about what the Palestinians are having to go through iI find as being crass. The MSNBC video link by SeaGreenEyesz goes a 'litt' beyond simple evictions!
I hate playing these games. We obviously disagree so it should and will stand at that.

@JackPedigo I didn't say evictions were solely responsibel for the current situation, I said it was evictions started the events. We lawyers would call the evictions the proximate cause.

Last, who fired the first rocket? Answer: Palistinians. Response always justified.

Those below who promote Jewish Supremacy avoid the source of the problem - The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestinians. That's research from the Israeli historian Ilan Pappe and other Israeli New Historians.

Some of my Secular Jewish friends are horrified at the treatment by their religious brethren.

@SeaGreenEyez I understand. Glad some good came out of your illness.

@SeaGreenEyez I understand your feelings. Sometimes knowing facts and truths is painful especially when so few are listening.

Thanks for posting

Humans suck.

Amen to that.

Espicially religious humans.

@Alienbeing
Just humans in general.

@Holysocks Not to the same degree.

3

Perhaps if the people of Gaza don't want Israel to respond to attacks, they might try not attacking Israel.

Gazans have been ethnically cleansed from the areas to which Hamas is sending rockets. Israel has violated international law by not letting the refugees return and settling destroyed Arab towns with Jews. The continuing seizure of Palestinian land for Jewish settlers also provokes the Hamas attacks.

@SeaGreenEyez That is only educational if one believes the article presents the whole picture.

6

I'm going to provide some commentary from a facebook friend: If iron dome didn’t exist and wasn’t so effective, you would likely have almost 3000 missiles raining down on civilian population in israel and likely killing tens of thousands. To read people who only focus on the Israeli response to rockets fired from mosques, schools and apartment buildings, seems to be massively naive. These missiles being fired at israel don’t discriminate between Israelis and Palestinians, Muslims and Jews or civilians vs military and no country in the world would sit back and allow itself to have barrages of lethal rockets fired for over a week. If people really wanted peace, they would demand Hamas stop shooting these rockets and dry up the groups funding. Just think of all the people that could have been fed if Hamas spent their money on aid instead of weapons

@BD66 It's amazing to me that everyone on this site sympathizes with jihadists. Muslim jihadists.

@barjoe Because some of us don't take things at face value and see what has been going on since the Israelis' were allowed to settle in the former Palestinian country.

@SeaGreenEyez The Jews didn't blow up The Towers on 9/11. The Muslims flew planes into the Towers. Arabs murdered 3000 Americans. I'm not going to take their side.

@barjoe so we should sympathize with fanatics? Jewish fanatics?

@Charlene No. Just don't support the Palestinians. They are Arabs and Jihadists. I have no sympathy for them.

@barjoe I support Isreals Right to Exist, but I support Palestinians Right to Statehood and self determination, nor will I ignore Isreals Blatant disregard of their Human Right to Survive..btw way they're not Arabs..they're Palestinians..Arabs are from Saudi Arabia.

@Charlene Saudis, Syrians, Jordanians, Palestinians, Egyptians, Algerians, Emirates, Qataris are all Arabs states.

@barjoe I find that amazing also.

@Charlene The term "Arab" is much more inclusive than you present.

@Alienbeing Libyans, Yemenis, Iraqis, Bahrainis, Kuwaitis, Lebanese are Arabs as well.

@barjoe so All English speaking peoples Englishmen?

@barjoe, @Alienbeing it's an inclusive overarching word for bigotry and ignorance..which you chose to embrace.

@Charlene There are 22 Arab states.

@barjoe A plague on both their houses, I say.

@barjoe and there are 50 United States..

@Charlene That is correct

@Charlene It is NOT an "inclusive overarching word for bigotry" except apparently in your mind. You think you can makje up new definitions and make that judgement mandatory for the world? You can't, you are only one.

As for the "you chose to embrace" rude comment, your ability to project your own problems on others is unsurpassed.

@barjoe Agreed.

@AmyTheBruce Your $3 billion a year to Israel already creates a deadly plague on one of the houses. Don't pretend you are not involved or guilty.
