Been out of comission these last few weeks, recovering from knee replacement surgery. Next phase: torture...I mean, outpatient PT. This was one of hardest things I've ever done, but my leg is straight after being crooked for years. Who's got gnarly surgery pics or recovery tips? Here's a couple right after surgery. The staples come out tomorrow! Show us your scars!

I never knew knee replacement surgery was more difficult to recover from than hip replacement until my sister who had both procedures informed me of this.

AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't stand the sight of ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thud!

It is rather shocking, lol

@Freespirit64 When I came back from open heart surgery, I was covered with bruises and stiches from neck to feet. I don't mind seeing my own though.

would dancing lessons be good therapy?

Maybe in few weeks, unless you can rock the 2 wheeled walker 😉

@Freespirit64 not i. I just try and rock the lazy boy.

I had both done at the same time 7 years ago and so far it's like I never had bad knees, actually skied 30+ days this year. My advise is do your all physical therapy and do some extra stretching everyday, just going to PT a couple times a week is not going to get it done. If you have a hot tub, that is the best place to stretch it.

You're a brave soul, to get them done at once! Color me impressed.

@Freespirit64 I really don't think it was all that much worse, but doing them both was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made.

@Freespirit64 Good luck with the rehab, hopefully you will have as good an outcome as I've had.

Just do your PT. It makes all the difference. Good Luck!

Holy crap!! Bet that stung just a tad bit. Hope all goes well for you.. going to be awhile for you to get up and moving again.. Lots of vitamin E oil and aloe vera on the skin once it starts healing good.

Good luck with the PT. I've heard it makes a world of difference.

No visible surgery scars for you but I did wake up with a stye this morning. I don't ever remember having one before and I don't want one again.

Sorry about the sty!
