Well I finally lost it with a potential customer. After the third time she told me she was a Christian and therefore would take very good care of my property I said, "religious beliefs make no difference to me there are many Christians I would never rent my property to such as Franklin Graham." She didn't have a clue who Franklin Graham was so that was not nearly as much fun as I had planned. I'm quite sure though that she will never make a reservation with me.

Simply by saying that, she is implying that non-Christians aren't trustworthy. If you share that you are not Christian, who knows what she might do to the property simply because she is so prejudiced against non-Christians. Religious affiliation is not the measure of character. Many many psychos have done atrocities in the name of religion, not to mention the evangelicals who have no conscience regarding fleecing their flock (and the government) in the name of religion.

The main thing which put me off religion in the first place, was the character of most Christians.

Either the religion has a corrosive effect, which destroys honesty and empathy, or the religion only attracts those who lack those qualities in the first place.

It is thinking they can do anything they want to anybody and justify it, because all they have to do is whisper "Forgive Me" to the magic Daddy and they go to heaven.

@BufftonBeotch Plus the arrogance that comes from thinking they are special people and chosen to have special wisdom and insight.

@Fernapple telling them they are special when they've never felt special before is one of the ways they hook them into the flock.

@Lorajay Yep, that's the trick.

I was told that a transmission company was Christian run. Ended up costing me $600 more than I was originally quoted . The way they got me was shady as hell

Oh....do tell.

@BufftonBeotch I had a quote for $1800 with another company to do transmission. This company said they would do it for that price too. It was actually a used transmission other company. They said more than likely I didn’t need to rebuild and they would break it apart to look at it. They look at it and said I needed tranny rebuilt. Then they came back and said they made a mistake in pricing and they couldn’t do it for price they gave me and it would be $600 more than quote. Said they had to use Aamco certified parts. I said no to begin with and then they wanted $500 for what they already did which was breaking down the tranny. So they had me hooked never mentioned it would cost $509 in the beginning

Never, ever, EVER trust anyone who makes it a point to let you know they are a Christian.

EVER!

I don't know why people still think that saying you're a Xtian makes you a more trustworthy, decent human being. The jails are full of Christians. There are pastors, preachers and priests in the news every day because they did something illegal and/or immoral.

"I wouldn't rent my place to Jesus Christ! He doesn't bathe, brings in his hippie friends and pays his rent in fish".

I'm lead to believe that he had fleas in his beard and a bad case of the clap that he kept praying that it would go away but it never did.

@SnowyOwl Oh, I thought that was Nietzsche...

@AlanCliffe Or Willie Nelson.

But all he drinks is water...well it was water.

@jlynn37 Willie is my hero don't bad mouth Willie please.
