I get Blocked all the time, often for just a difference of opinion or outlook. Some people get offended easily & don't like being challenged. Very much like theists if their religion is questioned. I find it more amusing than anything & have found that I seldom miss out on anything worth anything. More like getting rid of the chaff.

I have not had anyone block me that I know of but I did have to block 2 people who as you say did not enjoy the truth or facts and then insisted on trying to get the last word after they had already used abusive terms (saying my opinion was stupid, I was a bitch, etc.).
There was not so much satisfaction but a sense of relief. Conversation should be about exchanging ideas/theories, opinions and the facts. When it involves even small personal attacks the line is crossed and that sort of language does not add to an intelligent discussion.
